Controversial Gay Exorcism!
This is unspeakable! Worse than calling anyone the derogatory f-word, a Connecticut church posts a controversial gay exorcism on where else other than youtube. Although the video has been removed by the church group, it shows several adults hovering over a teen demanding the evil spirits out of him. And these evil spirits are for being gay? Really? According to ABC's report, the teen confessed to a nonprofit group for gay and lesbians who has mentored him for about a year that the teen didn't believe being gay was a sin.
Well, I'm not going to get into the touchy subject of religion and gay, but I will say that posting a gay exorcism on the internet is wrong. Exorcisms are preformed in order to relieve a person of evil spirits and demons. Apparently, this non-denominational Connecticut church believes gay people are possessed by evil spirits or demons. So what else will constitute a person possessed by a demon? Serial killers and rapists? The school bully?
This has taken the prejudice against gays to a whole other level.
