Custody battle between K-Fed and Brit continue

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Missing court-ordered appointments could cost Britney Spears more than her fan base.
Spears called in sick for her court-ordered deposition and now Kevin Federline's attorney said he'll ask for sanctions against the pop star. Spears was photographed the day of the deposition driving with a friend.
Spears is mired in a child custody case with Federline. He has temporary custody of the kids after Spears defied court orders. With another Spears no show, Kaplan said he'll file papers asking for sanctions before the next scheduled court date in late January.
A family law professor said that could mean monetary sanctions against the singer.
