Jennifer Hudson's Mother and Brother Found Murdered
According to her publicist and the authorities, the mother and brother of American Idol contestant and Oscar winning actress Jennifer Hudson have been found dead in their Chicago home.Neighbors of Hudson's family reported hearing gunshots between 8:00 or 9:00 am on Friday morning; however, it wasn't until Hudson's sister Julia returned home from work around 3:00 pm that the bodies were discovered.
Darnell Donnerson, Hudson's 57-year-old mother, died from a gunshot to the head and her 29-year-old brother, Jason Hudson, was shot in the chest, according to Cook County examiners.
Julia Hudson has also reported that her 7-year-old son, Hudson's nephew, is missing. It is believed that Hudson's nephew was taken by William Balfour, Julia Hudson's estranged husband who is also suspected to be the murderer. Balfour was taken into custody late Friday night, but is refusing to cooperate with police on the whereabouts of Julia's 7-year-old son.
