If you decide to put it out in the pubic domain that you wear a purity ring you have to expect that people will comment on it. I don't really need to know that jordin sparks wears a purity ring, it's her choice and may be good for her to do so but do i need to know that...NO! If they don't want people to comment on it....they really shouldn't tell everyone.

Sure, you're right, Alee, having morals and values is not dependent upon deciding to remain a virgin until marriage but at least Jordin Sparks (or whoever it may be) is standing up for something she believes in. All that I see and read about lately are people in Hollywood getting drunk and sleeping around. I sure wish more people would stand up for something they think is right, regardless of what it is.

I agree that it's great to stand up for what you believe in CeCe. What i don't agree with is sharing the fact that you wear a 'purity ring' with the whole world and then getting annoyed when people comment on it. I mean, the jonas brothers may well intend on remaining virgins until they marry but why not keep such a sacred vow to themselves. Some would argue that to tell america is to secure publicity, plus the sales of their music to one of the largest demographics in the usa...the white, middle class christian. It's certainly a shame that in order for jordan sparks to stand up for what she believes in she feels the need to refer to those that do have pre-marrital sex as *****. Unfortunately as a result, A message that was supposed to be 'it's a good thing to wait' became a crude, insensitive insult to those that do not.
