Has Aerosmith’s frontman, Steven Tyler, walked his way into rehab?
So he has confirmed he checked into rehab earlier this month, but, contrary to speculation, the singer says he was there to aid his recovery from a series of surgeries on his feet, which have taken quite a beating over the nearly 40 years he has been rockin’ out.
Are you serious? This is a total old person move. Is this superstar getting soft on us?
In a statement released by his reps Thursday, Tyler said:
“The doctors told me the pain in my feet could be corrected, but it would require a few surgeries over time. The ‘foot repair’ pain was intense, greater than I’d anticipated. The months of rehabilitative care and the painful strain of physical therapy were traumatic. I really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet. Make no mistake, Aerosmith has no plans to stop rocking. There’s a new album to record, then another tour.”
Um..is ‘pain in my feet’ the new code for alcoholism or substance abuse?!
Am I missing something?
But Tyler did not say whether his fake stint in rehab occurred at Las Encinas Hospital, where Dr. Drew ministers to substance abusers on Celebrity Rehab and where Tyler was rumored to be staying.
So there may be some truth after all.
But there also are plenty of other places besides rehab facilities to rest up and stay off your feet, Steven.
You’re filthy rich. Go buy an island or something.
Leave rehab to Britney Lindsay the people who really need it!

Wow, harsh much? Steven is one of the nicest celebrities out there right now. You never hear of him getting into car accidents or running people over. He probably was just there to rest. Seeing that it’s REHAB. Not all rehab is for addiction. Some rehab is to get back on your feet (no pun intended) in other ways. He has gone through a lot of foot surgury in the past few years and I can completely see why he would do this.
Not to mention, he does have a history with addiction so this might also be a preventative way for him to stay clean.
