Tiger Woods Apologizes
A teary-eyed Tiger Woods faced his fears this morning: the public. He handpicked reporters and told them there would be no questions. And he filled the room with his family and close friends with the one most important person missing: Elin.
As he approached the podium he had a look of serious sincerity.
He apologized to his wife Elin, his children, family, friends, fans and business partners for his "irresponsible and selfish behavior."
Tiger wanted the public to know that Elin has acted with nothing but poise and grace,
Elin deserves praise- not blame. The issue here was my repeated, irresponsible behavior.
He denied any bit of domestic violence and addressed the alleged assault with Elin and his car with a hint of anger in his voice.
Elin never hit me that night - or any other night.
Tiger claimed that he has always been a follower of the teachings of Buddhism, something his mother taught him to follow. He says that he is beginning to live by those teaching again,
Buddhism teaches me to stop following every impulse and to learn restraint.
Since December Tiger has been at a treatment facility receiving sex addiction therapy. He announced that he will continue with more treatment and therapy starting tomorrow and addressed his future,
I do plan to return to golf, i just don't know when that will be.
He finished by asking his room full of supporters for their help:
I ask you to find room in your heart to one day believe in me again.
