Celebrities Are Asking YOU To Help -- Donate To APJ For Haiti Disaster Relief
Haiti had been a country already in crisis with little clean drinking water, food, adequate housing or medical help; after being struck by a catastrophic 7.0 earthquake residents in Haiti need assistance now more than ever. Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) has been working together with Father Rick Frechette in the slums of Port au Prince since early 2009 to raise funds to create sustainable support.
Father Rick has been in Port Au Prince for the past 22 years where he serves as a doctor and community organizer. The earthquake has devastated many of Father Rick’s projects including both of his hospitals, an orphanage and numerous street schools. His brand new hospital is all but a stack of firewood, while the old one, still functioning, has collapsed completely.
Celebrities like Simon Baker, Penelope Cruz, Gerard Butler, Paul Haggis, Daniel Craig, Eddie Vedder, Madeleine Stowe, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Marcia Cross, Javier Bardem, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Maria Bello, Macy Gray, Pierce Brosnan and many more are asking for you to donate to Artists for Peace and Justice.
APJ will get 100% of your donation into the hands of Father Rick Frechette so that he can continue with the relief effort.
Donations can be made directly to the APJ website with 100 percent of the funds raised going directly to Haiti.
