Cheri Oteri's father murdered and found dead in his home
Gateaen Thomas "Tom" Oteri, father to SNL alum and comic genius Cheri Oteri was found dead in his apartment by a family friend Sunday morning after his roommate, Richard Fagan (who was pulled over for suspicion of DUI Saturday night) confessed to police that he had stabbed Tom.Richard was a songwriter and Tom was a music producer--the two were roommates in Nashville, TN. Apparently there was an argument between the two men and Richard used a pocket knife to cut across Tom's body before he fled the scene.
Tom had collaborated with Richard on several songs and were known as good friends.
My deepest condolences to the Oteri family. This is a senseless tragedy and I can not imagine the pain that poor woman must be feeling.
