Chris Brown Comments About Rihanna Assault Case Through Facebook

Chris Brown is finally speaking out about the assault case, unfortunately it is only through Facebook.

Written on his private Facebook page is "You'll begin to see her true colors. Believe it!"

It is unclear if he is talking about Rihanna but he also changed his relationship status to 'single' reports the New York Post.

Chris Brown's cousin, Phylicia Thompson, is also speaking about the case and told Extra last night in an exclusive interview: "Chris was not brought up...to beat on a woman. So it had to be something to provoke him for Chris to do it. He wouldn't have done it just to be having fun... But what happens behind closed doors, nobody ever knows."

Standing outside the house where Brown grew up, Thompson told "Extra," "He might feel down right now because his fans are looking down on him, like he's done something wrong. Of course, yes, he's done something wrong because he put his hands on her, but like I said, you don't know what happened. He had to be provoked to do it. Chris would never have done it."

Thompson, who last saw Brown in April 2008, added, "Everybody loved Chris... This comes as a surprise to me... He was never a troubled child." Growing up with Brown, Thompson admitted, "It was fun. Me and Chris were close in age. He practically lived with us... It was pretty cool growing up with Chris... We had so much fun. He was just an active child... He liked to dance. He liked to sing. He liked to play sports."

CHRIS BROWN DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ON FACEBOOK!!! THAT IS A RUMOR!

Yes, it probably was provoked, his stepdad beat his mom and he has spoken out about domestic violence, so he didn't just up and beat her.
I don't like Rihanna, but she still didn't deserve to be beat.

But it happen. And now its done. This was an isolated incident, so everyone just needs to stay out of their lives and let them deal with it without cameras in their faces.

Dude I totally think he was provoked I mean probably more then just words. I mean if she put her hands on him first then she put herself in a mans position and got dealt with accordingly. I don't think anything can truly be said about him until all the facts are put into play. I mean so many question are left unanswered while everyone just bashes Chris. I'm sure that there were other way the situation could have been handled but unless you were personally there no one and honestly comment. Rihanna has a violent history of her own so why doesn't anyone take that into consideration when forming opinions.

i think chris was provoked and i think it was wring for what he did, but noboby knows what happened but chris and rihanna. i like rihanna but i like chris more . i think that rihanna was sleeping with kanye west thats why he so mad about it. i think that rihanna was cheating on chris . i wish that people don't just put the blame all on him. what does this have to do with his music. he still is a good singer that should be the only thing that matters.

I hope everyone stops buying his music and stops going to all his shows!!! The same said about Rihanna as well. They both have talent but she has no intelligence and suffers from some kind of insecurity and he is a spoiled KID who hits women. Real tough guy!? These two are definitely not role models and both have some kind of mental problems. One final note, If these too still survive in the entertainment industry; then their fans are just as screwed up as these two!

Any man that hits a woman and says he has an excuse is a very small man and will always have an excuse. Micheal Vick went to jail for dog fighting for 2 years for "dog"s - I love my dog but the jerk beatup his girlfriend and also threaten her - so if a man get's two years for dog fighting what does the man get for assaulting his girlfriend and threatening her. If he gets probation for his crime is this really justice - that someone gets 2 years for dog fighting and he may get for felony assult and threats - probation... there is no excuse...and where is the justice in our system. If you do the crime you should do the time...No Excuses - I don't care who you are!
