Update: Chris Brown Hearing - Plea Bargain in the Mix?

Update: Chris Brown left the courtroom and Rihanna has entered. The judge is explaining the circumstances of Brown's punishment to her.
Update: Chris Brown has made a plea. He'll spend 180 days in a labor domestic violence program and is on supervised probation for 5 years for felony assaults. Although he won't be serving jail time, he'll be doing hard labor in Virginia and will return to court every 3 months. If probation is violated, he can spend up to 4 years in jail. He has also been ordered to stay clear of Rihanna at a distance of 50 yards for 5 years and must enroll in a domestic violence counseling program. Rihanna never entered the courtroom, but is in the courthouse.
Update: The judge has allowed a camera in the courtroom. This may be a plea bargain if cameras are allowed, since it would be a public statement. Rihanna, Chris Brown, and his family are all in the courtroom.
Chris Brown may be making a plea bargain today! His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 this afternoon with Rihanna's testimony...but that may not be necessary. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, has been in chamber with the judge and prosecutor possibly discussing a plea bargain. If there is one, there is a chance it will be announced when the case is called.
Chris, take the bargain. There's substantial evidence against you, especially if Rihanna tells the story she told cops.
This story is still in development.
