Green Tips To Impact Your Jaclynsphere

Last week, the Jaclynsphere hit Venice Beach where we really got an idea just how different people view going green especially as it pertains to our ocean.  What inspired this "wave" of investigative reporting? Recent headlines in the news concerning the new movie, "The Cove" as well as a few other facts we came across - especially the headlines surrounding the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

To better serve you and help you take simple steps to going green, check out our interviews and the following splash of info:

According to the website, www.gethipgetgreen.com, "Each year over a million birds & sea mammals die from plastic ingestion or entanglement." The same company also notes that less than 1% of plastic shopping bags get recycled.

According to Californians Against Waste, " Plastic bags, which are made from natural gas or oil, consume an energy equivalent of thousands of barrels of oil a day just to meet California's consumption."

The site also notes that, "it costs the state $25 million annually to landfill discarded plastic bags."
