Kanye West and T.I. Speak Out About Rihanna and Chris Brown

This morning on KIISFM Kanye West spoke to Ryan Seacrest about his take on the whole Rihanna-Chris Brown incident.

“I saw them at Clive's [the night before]. I know Rihanna a bit better because I went on tour with her and we really vibed out on a lot of creative ideas. With the touring, I gave all these reference of Graces Jones and Jean Paul-Goude. Back in the 80’s when pop stars just took it to a whole ‘nother level. I really feel that Rihanna is so important to our culture and pop music. I feel like she is the most important artist in music and has the most potential. Her taste level at her age and the songs she does and her style and her performance and her voice.

“She has the potential to be the biggest artist of all time. In that sense, I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do anything and everything not help her in any situation. I don’t want to speak too much on it but I was completely devastated by the concept of what I heard to the point that I Was completely devastated during my “American Boy” performance [with Estelle during the Grammy's].

“It’s so devastating. As a person, I don’t care how famous she is or if she just worked at McDonald’s, that should never happen. It should never come to that place.”

Last night on Carson Daly's Last Call, rapper T.I. spoke on Chris Brown's behalf.

"I spoke to him today," he said. "He's cool, you know. He's a little concerned about the situation, but he's still the same Chris. I told him, 'This too shall pass,'" the rapper said.

T.I. who is also in some legal trouble, scheduled to serve jail time in March said, "we're celebrities, we're entertainers, but we're still human—all of us. Don't expect us not to make mistakes, because we will."

As a mother this really disturbs my spirit, because truly this young man has anger issues due to the abuse he endured as a child. And it appears it has never been dealt with and is now surfacing. I love Chris, and It is very sad to hear so many people attacking him instead of praying for him He is a baby in my eyes, and needs guidance, which he did not get from the abusive stepfather and the mother who allowed it. Being a person who was abused myself people do not understand the magnitude of how this affects your life as you mature into adult hood. Clearly he has surpressed this issue all his life, until now. It is amazing how now all of sudden everyone wants to come out of the wood works with all of this stuff they say he has done, but it was never brought up until now, truly there has been a cry for help, he has shown signs of it in some way, this kid is human like us and clearly got lost in the shuffle because of his fame. People sometimes label you as perfect when you're famous. I pray for the beautiful young lady Rhianna that she recovers because no person should ever have to take a beating from anyone. I took many and I went to counciling and got help on my own. People do not know what it is like to live in horror as a child, and spend your life trying to hide it or cover up who you really are because a perpetrator made you a victim as an innocent child. Unfortunately Chris has now got to face his demons and it may cost him his career. May God bless him and Rhianna as they heal, because truly this young man needs healing too.

First of all let me say that I don't agree with violence of any means, but we all need to respect that there is always three sides to a story, Chris, Rihanna and the truth. I hope that we can stop judging young Chris. This was probably his first relationship, and being so young feelings probably got in his way, whatever happen that evening. Please people we need to support this young man and woman and let them heal in private. Every dog has its day. Innocent until found guilty. Please let them heal.

I dont think its right for a man to hit a women in the first place, but it seem that Rihanna had to do something really bad to get Chris Brown so pissed to beat her up sooooo bad like dat.I will always and forever LUV him.
