R.I.P. Estelle Getty
I knew this day would someday come, but it still doesn't make it any easier to sadly report that Estelle Getty, who played Beatrice Arthur's smart ass mother, Sopia, in the Golden Girls died this morning in her LA home at the ripe old age of 84. Estelle was surrounded by her family and friends as she passed away. She suffered from Lewy Body Dementia for years.
