Update: LAPD, LA Times, KTLA, and TMZ confirm that Michael Jackson is dead, however CNN tweeted that he is in a coma. According to the Los Angeles Times, the pop star arrived at the hospital in a deep coma and was pronounced dead after his arrival.

Just over an hour ago Michael Jackson went into cardiac arrest, and within that hour, he died. When paramedics arrived he didn't have a pulse and they were not able to bring him back.

The King of Pop is survived by his three kids and will forever be known for having 13 number one hits during his solo career.

Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and devoted fans.
