Being in the states has not been a very safe place for the Twilight heart-throb lately. Since arriving in Manhatten, Rob hasn’t been able to escape the crowds of his female fans.
The first time it was Monday on his first day on set of Remember Me. Than it happened again today while Rob was leaving the Strand Bookstore on Broadway and 12th Street in NYC. This time it was a little more serious, he almost got runover by a cab as he was crossing the street.
Radar.com reports:
A team of five security guards were trying to fend off a crowd of teenaged girls when Robert was leaving the bookstore.
It was pouring rain as they tried to hustle him quickly across the busy street to the safety of his trailer.
To get away from the hysterical girls, Robert rushed across the road. As he did so, a taxi grazed him. The cabbie slammed on his brakes as soon as he realized what had happened.
Thank God he’s alright. He apparently just got hit in the hip but was promptly rescued by his bodyguards. One of his guards screamed to the fans: “You see what you did, you almost killed him!”
That would have been a travisty. Stupid girls. They almost killed Edward.
