Toni Braxton Hospitalized
Toni Braxton was hospitalized late Monday night in Las Vegas after her show at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino. The singer was experiencing chest pains and was taken to St. Dominican Hospital for tests. She was released the following afternoon and is said to be in good condition; however, her next upcoming 5 shows have been canceled to allow her time to recuperate.
Braxton headlines her show, "Toni Braxton: Revealed," at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. She's been performing 5 shows per week since 2006. The hotel expects that she'll return to the stage next Tuesday.
Braxton was previously diagnosed with pericarditis, an inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart, after the birth of her second son. The 40 year old singer is a spokesperson for the American Heart Association and has spoken publicly about her condition.
