Owen Wilson reportedly attempted suicide at his Los Angeles home
Hollywood actor Owen Wilson is being treated for a suspected suicide attempt, according to reports out of the US.
The Wedding Crashers star allegedly cut his wrists after swallowing a number of pills at his Los Angeles home.
The National Enquirer editor-in-chief David Perel told gossip website PerezHilton.com: “Owen Wilson has now been transferred from St. John's to another Los Angeles area hospital. His brothers Andrew and Luke are with him.
His parents were also seen visiting Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Sunday night.
Perel added: “Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. Both of Owen's wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills.
“Owen was found with a nearly empty bottle of pills next to him. He was at his house in Santa Monica.”
Website TMZ released a statement from Santa Monica Police which reportedly detailed the emergency call.

Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson split in June
It read: "On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12.10pm officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department at the 900 block of 23rd Street.
"The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated."
The comedian, who is known as the Butterscotch Stallion for his charming way with women, is famed for his blockbuster roles in Zoolander, Meet the Parents and Starsky and Hutch.

The actor was once romantically linked to singer Sheryl Crow and split from his You, Me and Dupree costar Kate Hudson in June.
Wilson, who is currently working on the comedy Tropic Thunder with pal Ben Stiller, is now said to be in a stable condition.
His spokesperson is yet to comment on the reports.
