Danica Patrick, member of the Andretti Green Racing team, nearly exchanged blows today with Milka Duno, another female driver, who competes for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing.
Eyewitnesses say that the verbal tussle got pretty heated. Check out the video of the whole fight and see for yourself!
Being on different teams wasn’t the problem; It was Duno’s driving that upset Patrick.
This isn’t Patrick’s first time confronting another driver. She has also challenged fellow drivers Dan Wheldon and Ryan Briscoe after other racing incidents.
In 2007, Patrick and Wheldon collided during a race, but she managed to get back on the lead lap and finish in eighth place. After the race they had a heated exchange after she tried to confront him about the wreck.
Earlier this year, Patrick and Briscoe’s cars collided during practice, which eliminated both from the race. After being pushed back to her own pit, Patrick left her car and headed down pit road toward Briscoe’s pit at which point security intervened, preventing an on-track confrontation.
I think this woman just loves to fight! But, come on, there are only a few women drivers competing against a sea of men, and they should stick together!
Here they are posing for a picture- Duno on the far left (in jeans & black tee) and Patrick on the far right (next to one frightening looking lady–is that a lady? Look at it her!). If they can be in the same picture together then why all the fighting?!
Of course, Patrick simply brushed off the latest scuffle, saying, “I just wanted to know if she saw me out there.”

Don’t see why women should “stick together”. Bottom line is Patrick was right to confront Duno. There’s a protocol on the track, and if you don’t stand up for it, you could get killed. Duno’s a punk.
