Nicole says she was really apprehensive at first and almost turned down the gig because she was so focused on finishing her album and going back on tour. But after thinking about it she realized just how scary it would be and decided that she was up for the challenge! Plus, she admits her mom is such a big fan of the show she would have killed Nicole if she didn’t agree to do it.
Nicole is going into the competition with some definite advantages. She has a background in dancing and performance, especially after being a member of The Dolls, but she told Ryan dancing wasn’t her only asset,
I think my biggest advantage is that I’m a musician. Music is just in me.
As for the dolls breaking up,
The dolls album may come out later this year
BUT
A couple of girls have left the group because they wanted to go and do their own projects.
As for her solo album, Nicole says she is still in the studio working on it and expects it should be released after Dancing With The Stars.
16 year-old Justin Bieber has been making it big in the music industry ever since he was signed by Usher at Island Def Jam Records at just 13-years-old! Apparently making good music is not his only talent!
Justin’s been making his way around the music industry in a big way, flirting with all the pretty ladies! And from what I have been hearing, the boy has got skillz when it comes to wooing females.
I was at the recording of ‘We Are The World”… I was talking to Lionel Richie and Toni Braxton and there was a bunch of us in the room, and little Justin just walks in and he sits back and he takes a step back with his hand on his hip and he says:
“I can’t take it, you’re too gorgeous, I gotta leave!”
Nicole admits it certainly made her blush!
JB was recently at an event with Rihanna and he surprised the Caribbean beauty with a bouquet of roses!! Rihanna expressed her thanks with a kiss on the cheek! A smooth operator…
Justin confessed he would never wash his face again! He was so pumped up by the kiss that he decided to ask Rihanna out! She turned him down gently adding,
He’s a cutie pie, I’m a big fan of his.
Damn, Justin! You do not appear to be the shy young guy we all thought you were!
Jessica Simpson debuted her new single, “Who We Are On Air With Ryan Seacrest this morning on L.A.’s 102.7 KIIS FM.
Simpson told Seacrest the song was inspired by her travels for her new reality series, “Jessica Simpson’s The Price of Beauty “ which explores beauty practices around the world. The song will also be featured as the theme for the show which premieres March 15th at 10 pm on VH1.

I was so moved by the eight cultures I explored for my new show. The women I met were so incredibly different in their customs and traditions but there was a common thread between them in their beauty. The song which was co-written by Billy Corgan, Evan Bogart, and Shari Short, was a catalyst to the rumor that Simpson and Corgan were romantically involved. The relationship, however, proved to be strictly work-related.

Selena Gomez was making her rounds on the radio waves this week. First, she was on the Kidd Kraddick radio show in Dallas on Tuesday morning.
When asked if the world would stop if Justin Bieber and Selena got together as a couple:

Selena explains what happened at her recent appearance at the Emerald Square Mall in Massachusetts:
It was really crazy. They expected about 1,000 people to show up and about 5,000 ended up being there….As we were leaving the escalators – people kept trying to go up the escalators to just, I guess, get a look and it exceeded the weight limit and it stopped so then it threw everyone back, then they kind of tumbled down.
But everyone’s OK. I didn’t know until after we left.

Auntie Kim, Momma (Kourtney) Kardashian and Grandma Kris Jenner stopped by the KIIS FM studio in L.A. to introduce baby Mason Dash Disick!
My mom, Kim and I had a meeting at the E! building on Friday which is also where Ryan Seacrest does his radio show. I take Mason everywhere with me, and we had to stop in and surprise Ryan! Hence Mason’s first radio interview!
Mason Dash Disick made his magazine debut at just 2 weeks old in “Life & Style.” Despite all her insecurities she displayed on their reality show, Kourtney sounds as if she has adapted to motherhood just fine!
Having Mason in my life is the most amazing, indescribable thing that’s ever happened to me. I am so in love with him and love having my own little family with Scott and Mason.
Kourtney is in the current issue of Life & Style where she talks about how she’s “in no rush to lose” the baby weight.
I just have to say: Thank you Kourtney! Having been blessed to be a new mommy myself recently I feel there is so much pressure out there to lose everything you put on during pregnancy in a matter of a few months. It took 10 months to gain it all so it should safely take that long to lose it as well.
Ryan Seacrest announced during his morning show on 102.7 FM KIIS FMthat Russell Brand will be hosting the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards!
The British comic-actor must have impressed MTV so much with his hosting skills from last year that they are giving him another go at it!
You may recognize Brand from his most recent roles in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” with hotties Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell, and “Bedtime Stories”, with Adam Sandler.
Personally, I think Brand is hilarious! I didn’t see last year’s VMA’s but from the looks of this interview with Craig Ferguson I’d say he is equipped for the job once more!
