  Brooklyn's Finest is overflowing with homages to recent gritty urban dramas and contains a familiar plotline involving a lot of strangers in various predicaments, whose troubled lives ultimately intersect. It's a good movie, despite lacking much of anything new, although I will say that I left the movie feeling distinctly more depressed than I would have liked.

  U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges announced in an Ocala, Florida courtroom Thursday that the man we all know and love from Blade is going to jail. Wesley Snipes, 45, was sentenced to three years in jail earlier today. He was first convicted of tax fraud in February on three misdemeanor counts of failing to file a tax return.
