  Attention all Smallville fans! Kristin Kreuk, better known to you as Lana Lang, has just been cast in the lead role of Catherine (aka Belle) in the new CW reboot of Beauty and the Beast.

  The new series will modernize the classic story, turning Belle into a homicide detective and the Beast into a troubled war veteran.

  Ashley Tisdale has definitely moved on from her Disney Channel roots.  Once dressed in one piece bathing suits on the set of High School Musical, Tisdale can now be seen every Wednesday on the CW's new show Hellcats wearing nothing but short-shorts and a sports bra.

  It's working too.  The CW has ordered nine more episodes of the new hit show to complete a full first season.
