    Obviously the first thing that struck me about Ninja Assassin was that ridiculous title. Maybe it's just because to this day I still associate ninjas with turtles, but from the moment I saw the name of this movie I was expecting some cheesy, direct to DVD martial arts nonsense. It's not a great film, but it's a hell of a lot better than I expected.

Maybe it’s just because to this day I still associate ninjas with turtles, but from the moment I saw the name of this movie I was expecting some cheesy, direct to DVD martial arts nonsense. It’s not a great film, but it’s a hell of a lot better than I expected.
