  Jack Black is currently stampeding into theaters in gigantic 3D in a slightly ill-advised reimagining of a 300-year-old classic of English literature. So Wikipedia calls Jonathan Swift’s 1726 novel “a satire on human nature and a parody of the ‘traveler’s tales’ literary subgenre.” I’m gonna go ahead and call the new movie “a satire on quality entertainment and a parody of 3D technology.” Enjoy!

Fantastic 3d visuals overshadow the top-heavy story and the talking birds attempt to take themselves a little too seriously for their own good, but the younger members of the audience will be enthralled while the rest of us can rest of us can watch for the beginnings of a potentially lucrative series...
