Jenny Garth reprises role in 90210 spin-off

Jenny Garth will be joining the 90210 spin-off, possibly playing the role of a fashion design teacher on the show. No word yet if there will be any more 90210 alums joining. I hope Shannon Doherty gets asked because I would love to see the Kelly Taylor/Brenda Walsh drama erupt again. Fun times.

Garth was supposedly doing a CBS pilot for a comedy called My Best Friend’s Girl, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, dropped out of Monday’s table read.

 AnnaLynne McCord joins 90210 spin-off

AnnaLynne McCord, known for her role as the scandalous Eden Lord in Nip/Tuck, has joined the CW’s Beverly Hills 90210 spin-off cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

AnnaLynne, 20, will play Naomi, a hot, rich, and popular Beverly Hills high schooler. It was announced earlier this month that Dustin Milligan (Runaway) was the first to join the cast as Ethan, a popular star athlete at West Beverly Hills High School.

It’s rumored that Rob Thomas will be stepping down from the director’s chair because he’s swapped doing two other pilots for ABC.

I am so excited. I love AnnaLynne. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous but she is just one of those actresses that you can’t keep your eyes off of, she is so captivating.  You always wonder what she’s going to do next. I definitly think that she is a good choice for 90210. She will stir up so much drama. Can’t wait.

Dustin Milligan is the first to be casted in the 90210 spin-off

Dustin Milligan, CW’s Runaway (yeah, I never saw it either), is the first to be casted in the 90210 spin-off. Dustin will play Ethan, who is described as a good-looking, likable, star athlete at West Beverly Hills High.

The show will revolve around one central family much like the original “90210” did. According to EW, the plot will focus on the Mills family of Beverly Hills, made up of, Tabitha, an alcoholic grandmother, her son, Harry, who moves back to Beverly Hills to take care of his mother, and he brings with him, Celia, his Olympic athlete wife turned personal trainer, and their two 16-year old twins.

Tori Spelling wants to be part of the 90210 spinoff

Tori Spelling talks about 90210 spinoff

The CW is in talks about making a spinoff from the widely popular 90’s tv show Beverly Hills 90210.

“Veronica Mars” creator Rob Thomas is wanted to pen the project, which has been put on the fast track by the network. The spinoff would bring Thomas back to CW, where his acclaimed series “Veronica Mars” ended its three-year run last spring.

This would be the second spinoff from “90210,” which aired on Fox from 1990-2000. The first spinoff, “Melrose Place,” had a successful seven-year run on Fox.

Tori Spelling, the daughter of the show’s creater and who also played Donna Martin in the series, said, “My dad always wanted to do a new version of 90210, so I’m sure he will be beaming from above! …and I’d love to somehow be a part of it. That, as well, would make my dad proud,” Spelling, who is pregnant with her second child.

And, regarding the role she intends to play, Tori explains: “Well, I am a mom now, proud to say, but obviously too young to have a teenager, so maybe I could be one of the main character’s young stepmom.  Playing the funny sex ed teacher at the high school would be funny, too, considering Donna Martin was America’s most infamous virgin.”

“The show was a huge part of my life. Ten years! I miss it dearly.”

“I thought … it’s about time,” Spelling tells People.com. “I’m surprised it took this long for them to make a 90210 spinoff.”

Tori is not the only one eager to get involved with this show. Actor Ian Ziering, who played Steve Sanders in 90210, also wants to a role on the series.
