Scarlett Johansson Talks About Lindsay Lohan Feud

Posted on 17 November 2008 by tammy

Newlywed Scarlett Johansson is on the December issue of Allure magazine. Here is a snippit of her interview:

On not knowing why Lindsay Lohan doesn’t like her: “I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times.” (Scarlett did lose the lead role in The Parent Trap to Lindsay when she was 13.)

On Lindsay scrawling vulgar words about the actress on a NYC bathroom stall 2½ years ago: “That’s what I heard. I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar — I mean, shockingly so, like, ‘Whoa, what, who are you?’”

On Woody Allen once calling her his muse: “I don’t inspire that work that Woody does. I’m just lucky to fit into the ‘young woman’ category in his movies. But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn’t me, it would be someone else.”

On how she met husband Ryan Reynolds: “Nobody knows. It’s private. It’s our story.”

On the tattoo on her forearm: “It’s kind of personal. It’s a sunrise, and it makes me happy when I look at it.”

Jessica Alba on the cover of Allure

Jessica Alba graces the cover of Allure magazine. In the issue she poses as Charlie Chapman, kinda random, and talks about sex and sexuality.

On Owning Her Sexuality: “I don’t think I was comfortable with my sexuality until I was an adult, probably, like, 22 – that’s when I stopped apologizing and stopped feeling ashamed. I did the Vagina Monologues in L.A. That made me proud.”

On Her Steamy Public Image: “[Hollywood] always play[s] up your sexuality, because that’s what gets men into the theaters. And I never really gave a s— about all that stuff! It’s nothing to be ashamed of. But it is definitely not what I am about by any means!”

On Sex Before Marriage: “I never believed women had to be virgins when they got married, or that a woman has to fall in love with a guy just because they’re having sex. I don’t think sex is a big deal. I hated the hypocrisy of it. Men can do whatever, and it’s acceptable.”

Hilary Duff in Allure magazine

Posted on 16 April 2008 by CeCe

Hilary Duff in Allure magazineHilary Duff is on the cover of next month’s Allure magazine, (the issue is out April 22nd). In her interview she discusses Avril Lavigne’s comment when she called Hilary a “Mommy’s Girl.”Hilary tells Allure,

“I said something about about how she didn’t like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it’s a compliment. She called me a goody-goody.”

I really think Hilary is just avoiding the entire conflict here and playing the nice girl role again. Granted, she is a sweet girl, everyone who meets her simply raves about how down to earth she is. But I feel like these comments aren’t exactly what Hilary would have wanted to say to Avril. Maybe she really wanted to say something about how Avril is just jealous of Hilary’s success, seeing that she is a pop star, actress and business entrepreneur. Or maybe it was to express her condolences about Avril’s trouble selling her tickets to her latest tour…I think they were going for as cheap at $8! That sounds a bit desperate.Either way, I think Hilary took the high road and chose not to fuel this teeny-bop feud any more. And she looks amazing in the pictures I’ve seen so far, so take that, Avril!Hilary Duff in Allure magazine
