New reports say that’s what Cowell may pocket thanks to new contract ‘Idol’ negotiations. According to a report in The Guardian (via the New York Post), Cowell has reportedly been offered between $100 million and $144 million per year to stay on as an ‘Idol’ judge. His current contract is set to expire in May.
In my opinion I don’t think anyone deserves that kind of money, especially not now during our country’s economic crisis. Why are celeb’s so money hungry? And why are people willing to pay them so much?
I love Simon he is by far my favorite and the most important judge on American Idol, but that man does not need that much money.

She gave a stunning performance of I Dreamed a Dream and Memory during yesterday’s show in London. The Internet sensation has recently been treated for exhaustion and anxiety since her expedited rise to fame, but her mental health is good to go.
Now that she’s back on track, Simon Cowell, one of the judges for the show, admits he may have made some mistakes with her. In a lengthy interview with Britain’s Daily Mail, the American Idol judge explains where he feels he went wrong. The road to instant fame is hard and mentally exhausting. Only the strong minds can survive this journey. Just look at Britney Spears‘ melt downs. So was Susan Boyle ready for this jump to stardom? Cowell is beginning to think that she wasn’t as mentally prepared as they could have trained her to do so. However, her family feels like they did the right thing. I’m afraid only time will tell on this one.
With her life forever changed, the Scot will hopefully keep going strong! She has such amazing talent that should not and can not be wasted. Her next performance is scheduled for tomorrow. Break a leg (but not actually)!

“I can’t even put into words what it feels like to be offered the cover,” Adam Lambert told us at his Rolling Stone photo shoot. When he saw his final cover for the first time — snake coiled around his leg and all — he reacted kind of like he predicted he would be back at the Smashbox Studios session with Matthew Rolston: “I’ll just kind of sit and stare at it for a little while.”
Adam let loose for the cameras, letting Rolston shoot him applying his eye makeup, glammed out with a microphone, unleashing his inner wild Idol.
I was actually beginning to wonder about this… if Adam Lambert ever had any crushes on fellow American Idol contestants. There were definitely some good looking guys in the bunch.
Well, now I don’t have to wonder because the answer is YES!
Adam recently told Rolling Stone that although Kris Allen, 23-years-old and married, is straight, he still found the American Idol winner attractive the first moment that he met him. Ironically, the two would become really good friends, room together in the Idol mansion, and make it through to the final 2.
“I was like, ‘Oh, shit, they put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He’s the one I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type – except that he has a wife… I mean, he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100 percent straight,” Adam laughs.
