Ramiele says goodybye on American Idol

Posted on 03 April 2008 by tammy

Ramiele Malubay is the next American Idol contestant to go home

Ramiele Malubay is the next American Idol contestant to go home after singing Dolly Parton’s “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind?” I actually really like Ramiele, I think she has a very pretty voice. But she definitely keeps singing the wrong songs. The girl let me down, I was waiting to hear her belt just once.

Well at least the bottom three was right this time. Although I like Brooke White, she is definitely not one of the stronger singers. And Kristy Lee Cook, who other than last week, seems to have a permanent place in the bottom three, should have gone home. I just don’t like that girl. It’s not that she’s bad, just very very boring. I’m crossing my fingers so tightly that next week she will finally leave. I can’t stand to see all those good singers get the boot before she does. Ugh, such a travesty.

David Cook rushed to the hospital after last nights performance

Posted on 02 April 2008 by tammy

David Cook rushed to the hospital after performanceAmerican Idol contestant David Cook was rushed to the hospital last night after experiencing what he described as heart palpitations. Medics said that his blood pressure was “far too high” and that he needed to get treated. Cook said he wouldn’t leave until the show was over.Cook received medics to bring his blood pressure down and after a few hours was released from the hospital according to TMZ. People magazine reports that when Cook was brought back to his Idol apartment to rest, that he appeared to be “doing fine.”TMZ has also reported that Cook has been under a lot of pressure due to his brother’s battle with cancer, and in an earlier show, he collapsed before performing. Despite not feeling well enough to continue, he performed anyways and probably sang the best performance of the night.Ah poor David. He is by far my favorite Idol contestant this season. I hope he gets better and and plenty of rest because it is only going to get more stressful and challenging from here on out. Here is David’s performance of Dolly Parton’s Little Sparrow, before he was taken to the hospital:You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Chikezie gets booted off American Idol

Chikezie gets voted off American Idol

Chikezie is the latest American Idol to go home. Although I didn’t particularly care for his last song–it sounded way outdated–I once again don’t think that he was the right contestant to go home. I don’t think any of the bottom three should have been sent home.

I really, really want Kristy Lee Cook to leave. Not that I don’t like the girl’s voice. I mean she can sing but she picks the worst songs ever. I haven’t enjoyed any of her performances yet. And what’s worse is that she’ll definitely be safe next week because it’s country week with Dolly Parton songs. Great!

Every season there is at least one person that stays on for way too long, last year Sanjaya, this year Kristy.  People!  Wake up! Please stop voting for her already!
