Last night was the premiere of Walt Disney’s Morning Light documentary at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, CA. Our friend Austin Anderson sent us some photos to show us what a great time he had… especially with Mickey and Minnie.
Morning Light is a true-life documentary about fifteen young sailors going through six months of intense training. It tells the inspiring story of a group of intrepid and determined young men and women, on the cusp of adulthood, as they embark on the first great adventure of their lives–a dramatic 2500-mile open-ocean sailing showdown against top professionals.
The film stars Chris Branning, Graham Brant-Zawadzki, Chris Clark, Charlie Enright and Jesse Fielding.
The movie is rated PG and opens in a limited number of theaters on October 17th.
Austin Anderson performed at the 7th annual Kickin’ Cancer 5K Walk/Run in Brentwood, California on Sunday, September 21st.
For those of you who have not heard of Austin Anderson yet, he is an up and coming multi-talented artist from San Diego, California. His songs Around the World and Your song can be heard on Radio Disney. He is currently performing on the School Zone Tour and has been spotted showing his support at several charity events in California.
Austin sang, danced, and signed autographs at Sunday’s family-friendly event that raised $260,202 that will benefit the Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research. Check out the photos from the event below.

He can sing, he can dance, and he can play the drums… he has the looks and the talent… Austin Anderson has it all.
Who is Austin Anderson, you ask? Austin is a 14 year-old aspiring actor and performer. He has already released two hit singles, “Your Song” and “Around the World,” on Radio Disney and he has performed in several movies and TV shows, including Disney’s Hannah Montana.
Austin co-wrote “Your Song” and said,
After I performed at the Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego and saw how much the kids loved music I decided I wanted to write a song about them that would benefit them, too. A lot of these kids spend the holidays in a hospital and I like to go perform for them and see them smile again.
In addition to his continued volunteer time at the Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, Austin attends other charity events. I had the pleasure of meeting Austin at the Rhinestone Productions charity Fashion Show that supported the Make-a-Wish Foundation on Friday, September 12th and I can tell that Austin wasn’t at the event to recieve a pat on the back or some PR. He is truly a caring teen who wants to be involved in charity and help others.
