If you had a TV in the 80’s and 90’s… and I guess even now, you have seen a little television gem known as The Cosby Show.
So what’s one of the main things that people remember from that show?!
Bill Cosby’s sweaters!! … And maybe his awkward, dance moves in the opening credits.
And now everyone of us can express their inner Cosby because Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable is auctioning off three of his old sweaters.
His sweaters are being auctioned off on eBay’s Giving Works charity listing, beginning June 2nd.
Bids start at $5,000, and the proceeds will go to Hello Friend/Ennis William Cosby Foundation.
Cosby established the foundation after the tragic death of his son, Ennis, who was murdered in 1997.
This is the same eBay program that we told you about when we broke news that Kim Kardashian will be auctioning off some of her belongings.
$5,000…really?! I mean you can definitely buy ones just like it at your neighborhood thrift store for $5, I’m sure. I guess the fact that Bill Cosby wore/danced in it adds $4,995 of value to it.
It’s for a good cause, but that’s a steep price for an old sweater.
Who knows how the auction will go, but they probably would have sold quicker if it was back when The Cosby Show was the number one show and Bill was known as America’s Dad.
But good for him! I love Bill Cosby, just not enough to pay that much for a sweater.
