A source told the Mail: “She is so intent on getting married and having children, he felt hemmed in. After a 20-minute phone conversation, he just said, ‘I can’t take it anymore,’ and hung up. Then he texted, “That’s it - the end.”
What is most odd, is that both of them are claiming that they were the one to end the relationship. John’s claim came straight from the horses mouth, whereas Jen’s story was spilled via “sources” aka friends, as she rarely speaks on her personal life.
At this point, I think John Mayer is taking the George Clooney road - not ever going to marry. They are both very good at being serial daters who break women’s hearts.
John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston (aka ‘Mayerston‘) have broken-up after four months. What started out as being on a “break” (very Rachael and Ross) has turned to a full on break-up.
According to Mirror magazine, Aniston was dumped by Mayer because he is not ready for a serious commitment. Aniston was apparently giving Mayer a timetable to when they should start settling down; Mayer even cut down on his touring so they could start making babies.
The source said, “John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn’t ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved. Contrary to reports, Jen didn’t want to have kids or marry this year, but she did want to set a timetable for their future together. Initially Jennifer was furious when he told her of his decision, but now she’s simply sad - not to mention a little heartbroken.“
In April, there was word that Simon Cowell and Terri Seymour were having problems in their relationship due to Simon’s reluctance to settle down and start a family.
A source said at the time:
“Terri is worn down by Simon’s attitude. She feels upset and humiliated every time Simon speaks about his unwillingness to get married or have kids.”
Now after dating for 6 years, the couple have decided that it is time to call it quits. Simon has reportedly walked out on Terri following repeated trouble over her insecurities.
A friend of Simon’s recently told Britain’s Star magazine:
“He told me he is tired of Terri’s insecurities. They lead separate lives, and that’s how he likes it, but lately she has turned up unannounced at events he is at…Just recently, she was meant to be working on a red carpet as part of her presenting job for US TV show ‘Extra’. But instead she turned up at a party Simon was at with Ryan Seacrest. Simon wasn’t happy and felt like she was checking up on him.”
After the argument, American Idol judge Simon is reported to have jetted off to his St Tropez villa with friends, including his ex-girlfriend Sinitta and celebrity hypnotist Paul McKenna, leaving Terri behind.
Does this news surprise anyone? Because it definitely doesn’t surprise me. I can’t believe that the couple lasted as long as they did.
Former Bachelor Matt Grant and his bride-to-be Shayne Lamas have gone their separate ways, lasting a whole two months. The two tried hard to convince the public that they were madly in love but the only people they were fooling was themselves.
“We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions,” the duo said in a statement. “We truly care about each other and will remain close friends.”
The pair have been trying to fend off rumors that their was trouble in their relationship since Grant chose Lamas over Chelsea Wanstrath in The Bachelor’s season finale, and have been questioned many times as to why the couple never moved in together or were never photographed being in the same places.
“This stuff makes us stronger,” Grant, 27, said last month.
Anyway, that makes 10 out of 11 Bachelors (not including the not-ready-for-a-relationship Brad Womack) who have opted out of the matches they made during their stints on the ABC series.
After over 5 years together, comedians Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman have split up!
Both Jimmy’s and Sarah’s publicists have confirmed the break up:
“Jimmy and Sarah are no longer dating…and will have no further comment,” said Lewis Kay and Amy Zvi, the respective reps for Kimmel and Silverman.
No reason was given for their split, which was first reported in Vanity Fair’s celebrity blog, of all places. Silverman appeared on the cover of the magazine back in April.
The break-up unfortunately happened a few months after the pair celebrated their 5 year anniversary. The couple shared their happiness by publicly humiliating each other. During a guest appearance on her boyfriend Jimmy’s show, Silverman presented a special video - an ode to”f***ing Matt Damon.” Kimmel rightfully retaliated and made his own video where he confessed his love for Matt Damon’s BFF, Ben Affleck. Funny stuff.
Kimmel and Silverman met back in 2001, when Silverman performed at a Comedy Central roast for Hugh Hefner, with Jimmy Kimmel as the roastmaster.
“Jimmy Kimmel, everyone… He’s fat and has no charisma. Watch your back, Danny Aiello,” said Silverman said after Kimmel’s introduction.
How sad! I thought they were perfect for each other. Maybe it was because she was f-ing Matt Damon?

According to In Touch Weekly, gorgeous George Clooney has split from Sarah Larson, a former cocktail waitress from Las Vegas.
According to a friend of Sarah’s, Clooney recently moved out of his LA home while the 29-year-old Larson removed her belongings. This doesn’t really come as a surprise as Clooney has always flaunted his perpetual bachelor ways, and In Touch previously reported that George and Sarah struggled to make their relationship work because of their different backgrounds.
George is relieved to be single again,” an insider tells the mag. “He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her. The truth is they had little in common and he just doesn’t want to be tied down,” explains the insider. George’s rep tells In Touch: “I can only confirm that we have never commented on George’s personal life.”
Hmmmmm, sounds like they might have really split up! The two were together for about a year, which is forever in Hollywood terms, much less George Clooney terms. A collective sigh can be heard by housewives across the nation, George is back on the market!
Less than one week after rumors of an engagement, Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have decided to call it quits.
A friend of Owen’s stated:
It was a pretty bad break up. Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn’t want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him.
Hopefully Wilson is able to let Hudson go this time. We don’t want anymore suicide attempts.
Kate on the other hand will most likely walk away from the relationship hurt, but with dignity. A source close to Hudson said, “She feels so dumb thinking it was so serious.”
So sad. They made such a cute couple. I was really hoping that their relationship would last this time.
After the couple’s year and a half long engagement, Kanye West and Alexis Phifer have decided to call it quits. Although their relationship is over, Phifer claims that the two are still good friends.
“It’s always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends,” Phifer tells People. “I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met.” Although Phifer is making light of their breakup, a friend claims that the two were having major problems in their realtionship that couldn’t be worked out.
“They’d been having problems,” a pal of West’s says. “Kanye is really focused on his show; he’s putting everything into the show right now. Alexis is a nice girl, but Kanye has been going through a rough time. They hit a rough patch and for now they’ve split.”
According to the friend, Phifer and West, both 30, had been spending less time together in the last few weeks as the Grammy-winning star prepared for his nationwide “Glow in the Dark” tour. “I haven’t seen [Alexis] around at all the last few times I’ve seen him recently,” the friend added.
Poor girl. I bet Kanye is a pain in the butt to deal with. She definitely needs a break.
Carrie Underwood revealed last night during the American Idol gives back taping that she and Gossip Girl’s, Chace Crawford broke-up via text-message.
“It was completely mutual,” the 25-year-old American Idol alum told Extra. “We’re both fine…We broke up over text so…It’s like ‘peace out.’”
Continued Carrie, “It just didn’t work…And we both knew it didn’t work and no hard feelings at all whatsoever… I haven’t talked to him in awhile but, I mean, I don’t dislike him… So it’s no big deal.”
Dating can be tough in the public eye admits Carrie: “It’s difficult while you’re dating because people always make a lot bigger deal of things than they actually are… And then when you break up with somebody and then like two months later it comes out and it’s like you’re rehashing old stuff… I don’t know why that’s all out now.”
A Blog reader insists that she heard Carrie Underwood say on the radio that she and Gossip Girl boyfriend, Chace Crawford, where calling it quits. Many people are not at all surprised by the decision especially since it was beginning to seem like Chace was spending less time with his country singer girlfriend and more time with his NSYNC friend, JC Chasez.
Rumor has it that Chace left Carrie for JC and there are pictures of the two out and about which is just causing more ignition of this rumor. As for me, I don’t believe it at all. I don’t know about Chace, but I remember JC’s album, Schizophrenic, being raunchy and dirty and all about loving up on women. Ever since the Mickey Mouse Club, he has always seemed to be able to get any women he wanted. I don’t know if I can take another NSYNC member coming out of the closet.
