Despite requests from his girlfriend, Camila Alves, Matthew McConaughey refuses to hire a nanny. A source said,

If Matt could breastfeed the baby himself, he would. The house is getting messier and neither Matt or Camila are getting much sleep. Camila wants to hire someone but Matthew strongly objects-he thinks at least for the first few months he and Camila should be the only ones caring for Levi.

I am all for not hiring a nanny but he can at least hire Camila a housekeeper. We all know he can afford one. However, it’s refreshing to see  Hollywood parents taking care of their child themselves, unlike Tori Spelling other celebrities that hire baby nurses and full time nannies. I believe some of the strongest bonds are made during those 3:00am feedings.

OK! magazine has the first pixs and exclusive interview of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves with their son Levi in their latest issue. Levi was welcomed into the world July 7.

Here is part of the interview you can catch in the new issue of OK!:

On the delivery: “We found a great rhythm. Contractions started kicking in. I sat there with her, right between her legs. We got tribal on it, we danced to it! I was DJ-ing this Brazilian music.”

“I have it all chronicled. Becoming a dad is something I’ve dreamed of doing since I was 10. Becoming a father felt very, very natural. We were jamming! She was sweating. No painkiller, let’s go. She just clicked into that gear that only a woman has at a time like this. We’d been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, ‘Let’s handle this… let’s stay in the rhythm. Don’t let the contraction be more than you.’”

“We ended up having an epidural because, on the large contractions, the umbilical cord was being compressed. They went in and tried the vacuum. This is where I learned — and no one tells you this — but having a baby is a bloody, pukey, sweaty, primeval thing! And I mean that as a beautiful thing. It is wild. But the vacuum didn’t work, and the doctor said, ‘C-section.’

On finding out the sex of the little guy: “I said, ‘Come here, little man. I saw the pecker and screamed that we’d been right all along about him being a boy. Then I brought him over to her [Camila].

“It was neat to find out what the sex was because we didn’t have the doctor tell us beforehand.”

On who he looks like: “Everybody thinks he looks like me because of the hair and skin tone.” Camila says. “I think he looks more like Matthew every day.”

And Matthew adds, “I’ve pulled out some baby pictures of myself, and the resemblance is amazing. This kid has a lot to learn from us. I want him to come out being a little wiser, a little cooler and a little happier than we are.”

Another celebrity has popped out a baby this week!

This time it’s Matthew McConaughey’s and his girlfriend Camila Alves who welcome a new addition. Alves gave birth to a baby boy last night in Los Angeles, according to People.

This is the first baby for the couple, who have been dating for two years.

The boy, whose name has not been released yet, weighed in at 7 lbs., 4 oz. With the trend of celebrity babies having extremely non-traditional names, I think this one will definitely be the most wacky original. Maybe it’s a good thing they didn’t release the name yet- we have to prepare ourselves for it! (His brother, Rooster, named his kid Miller Lyte.) See what I’m sayin’?!

Congrats, new celebrity parents!

People are so interested in whether Mathew McConaughey is going to get on his knee and propose to Camila and probably just as many are hoping to capture the picture. I wouldn’t hold your breathe though. He was recently asked and his reply was “My parents were divorced twice and married three times to each other. I believe in the institution of marriage, but don’t feel you have to marry. A kid just needs a mom and a dad.”

It’s being reported that Matthew McConaughey doesn’t want to marry girlfriend/mother of his soon to be born baby boy/Brazilian Super Model, Camila Alves.

He’s very excited at the prospect of becoming a father–and has been very public with expressing his joy–but a friend told OK! magazine that “Matthew is getting used to the idea that he’s going to be a father. He says that’s enough to deal with right now. He has no plans to walk down the aisle with Camila now-or ever.”

This is apparently disappointing to both Camila’s and Matthew’s mothers. A friend of Camila said, “Camila comes from a very strict Catholic background. And Matthew’s family is very traditional too. Everyone, apart from Matthew, feels a wedding is in order.”

Ummm…I guess neither she has inherited the strict Catholicism practices of her family given that she got knocked up prior to marriage (or maybe that is part of Catholicism? The whole getting knocked up part?? But usually you just get married afterward…) & he his family’s traditional background cuz honestly, he’s super hot, but you know he’s also quite the male slut…we still love’em though!

Matthew McConaughey and gorgeous, model girlfriend Camila Alves are expecting their first baby. They will fit right in with the baby boom phenomenon happening now.

In a letter posted on his official website, Matthew says:

Got some blessed news…a celebration of life and bounty…a newborn conceived. Yes, my girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together…it’s 3 months growin’ in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far.

We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being mother and a father, and shepherding him or her through this life.
