Neil Patrick Harris is reportedly in the final stages of a deal with the hit TV show, Glee.
Neil is just one of the many guest-stars, which include Idina Menzel, Olivia Newton John, and Jennifer Lopez, to land a spot on the second half of this season’s Glee.
The only thing standing in Neil’s way is the fact that he works for CBS and Glee airs on FOX, so the people over at FOX are waiting for the go ahead from CBS.
What do you think? Will CBS lend FOX one of their biggest stars?
Howard Stern is claiming that Jay Leno straight up stole a chicken bit that he had been doing for years. Stern claimed that Jay had stolen bits from him in the past, but this steal was one that his crew had been doing in the past. He proved his point by sending the Leno camp a copy of his “famous chicken skit”
Here’s a youtube clip of Stern talking about Leno. Be advised…there’s some “stern” language used. Get it? Hahaha, “Stern” language? What, no? Fine. Just watch the video:
Stern seems pretty mad about the whole situation, and I don’t blame him. I thought he’d be gone after he left his show to Conan earlier this year!
Just Google “Jay Leno steals bit” and see what comes up. We also found one where Conan O’Brien rips on Starr Jones about bein fat or something, and a mere two days later, we see Jay saying the same thing, but worded a little different. Now here’s what I ask you, oh readers of Hollywire. Is it stealing if a joke is taken from one comedian and used by another after it’s been introduced? Sure we could blame Jay and say “HE STOLE IT!” But is it really Jay who’s researching and coming up with material during his off time? We know that there are writers behind the scene researching and finding the funny little foibles that everyday we miss, maybe they’re to blame. Life is funny, and things are bound to overlap sometimes. The art of “joke stealing” is something of a debate within the comedy world, as after all, this is someone’s livelihood we’re talking about here. Carlos Mencia, Dane Cook, and others have all been accused of this “crime”. But is it serious? Or maybe it’s just a joke.
Hollywire’s very own Katie Krause is going to be making an appearance on Dr. Phil today as a correspondent who delves into “Girl World,” which is the term that has been created to refer to the world of female teenage bullying in school. Katie spends a day with Rebekah, 14, who has been bullied so badly that her grades went from straight A’s to barely passing, and gives her some words of advice for dealing with the situation.
Click HERE to check out a preview of Katie’s segment and make sure you tune in to CBS at 4PM PST to catch her entire segment on today’s Dr. Phil episode!
Katie Krause also came up with the idea for this episode of Dr. Phil and assisted in finding other guests on the show!
Last week Neil Patrick Harris, Jenna Elfman, Jay Mohr and many other CBS stars spent the night at My House in Hollywood, California for the Pepsi Max CBS Premiere Party.
So, the new Survivor premieres tonight at 8pm on CBS….I thought I’d check out the website and see the new cast. Anyone how has been to the official Survivor site will find that it’s tedious and cumbersome to see the cast’s individual videos–I had to watch the same few ads over and over again each time I clicked on a new cast member–ugh!
Long story short–I did it so you wouldn’t have to….and here’s what I found out:
James (the gravedigger) and Amanda from last season are both back. They both think this season is gonna be cake compared to China because they’re on a beach with an abundance of food sources–ripened fruit, coconuts, and easy to catch crabs. James said he’s always liked going to the beach anyway, but his main concern: the “serious strategizers” since he’s now playing against the best of the best. He said he’s going to have to try to be more social because he’s not the only muscular/athletic one in the group, saying, “Ozzy’s athletic so it takes my gimic away from me”.
Amanda wants to align with James but currently thinks he’s mad at her–unknown beknowst to her, James is glad Amanda is there–she thinks it is important that they stick together because they know so much about each other. She thinks she hurt too many feelings in China and doesn’t want to do that again.
Ozzy, got 2nd place last time around at Cook Island, and said it left a bitter taste even though it was quite a feat to get that far. He thinks James is going to be the hardest to beat because of how well built and athletic he is; so, he also wants to build relationships as fast as possible. Ozzy’s part of a 3some returning from his season (Ozzy, Jonathan, & Parvati)…Jonathan says there’s bad blood between him and Parvati and there’s going to be trust issues between them; nevertheless he’s determined to befriend her and start an alliance. Ozzy also thinks it would be wise to use their 3some to their advantage, but he voted Parvati out last time around and Parvati hasn’t forgotten this.
Parvati, who says she’s more cynical and less trusting now and knew she could come back and win this time, has no intentions of aligning with Jonathan or Ozzy. She’s glad they are there because she knows them well and knows how to work them.
