Young Hollywood was out on Sunday evening at Hollywood Life Media’s 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards in Santa Monica, California.

Rapper Flo Rida has given out his cell phone number to the public so that he can personally take calls from his fans.  Tramar Dillard, Flo Rida’s real name, stated,

If they can go out and buy my albums, I can at least make the sacrifice to holler at the few people who call.  A lot of times I’m busy so they’ll get my voicemail.

And if I can speak to them and I have time, I always text back.

Because I think that’s very important.

Spring break is when college kids come together from all over the country–Missouri, Alabama, Minnesota, North Dakota, Texas, Georgia, etc.–to have fun under the sun and party like there’s no tomorrow.

They come looking their hottest, but it’s unlikely that any of them expect to be “discovered.”  The students we met at Beach Blast sure didn’t.

Each year, Energy X Beach Blast holds its ‘Beauty and the Beach’ Competition to find the hottest guys and girls at Spring break in Panama City Beach, FL.

This year, the first place winners and runner-ups won a beach photo shoot with a professional photographer to model the latest Hula-la swimwear line.  The photos of the first place winners will be featured in a 4 to 8 page swimsuit spread in Runway Magazine.

Hollywire sat on stage alongside celebrity judges Leilene Ondrade (Flavor of Love and I Love Money) and Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls and Cheaper by the Dozen 2) to help rate who had the best bods, the best booty shake or pop, lock ‘n drop, and the best Zoolander-esque catwalk.

The competition was tough, and it felt awkward to critique and drop people who were obviously hot, but personality was just as important.  The crowd had a say too; so those who were able to entertain and win them over made it to the final round.

Watch footage from the photo shoot to see behind the winners and runner-ups.  Sadly, our favorite boy Jay Whorton, a pre-med hottie from Jackson State University, who was the first place male winner, could not make it to the photo shoot due to an emergency involving a friend.  We were bummed to say the least–look at this dude!

We were looking forward to seeing him in that tight Hula-la-swimwear…. ah, oh well, perhaps this experience will motivate him to pursue a modeling/acting career.

This guy was not only HOT, he was also very humble.  We picked him outta the crowd and made him get in the contest because he literally was the hottest boy on the beach.  He didn’t want to come up, but Kevin of Energy X productions, was like, “Dude, come on.  This is a chance in a lifetime. Get up here.”

So, he looked a bit embarrassed, blushing a bit, as he came up on stage; but, as you can see in the video, he quickly embraced the love he was receiving from the crowd and became our 1st place winner.

Even all the way in Panama City Beach, Florida we couldn’t get away from Hollywood.  We caught up with Leilene Ondrade and Jonathan Bennett at Beach Blast’s Spring Break.

You might recognize Leilene from the first season of “Flavor of Love,” “I Love Money,” and “Charm School”–she’s the one that had the hots for Heat from “I Love Money.”  Seems that romance has fizzled and now this MILF was looking to play on her Spring break.

Jonathan Bennett is best known from his role as the heartthrob “Aaron” on Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan.  Seeing him in a swimsuit everyday for a week reminded me how much I love my work.

He and Leilene were celeb judges for the “Beauty and the Beach” contest, but sitting next to him on the judges’ corner on stage, I saw most female eyes were glued on Jonathan, not so much on the also very hot contestants.

He’s more than a looker though… he had us laughing hysterically the entire time!  He tells Hollywire about his Spring break (or what he can remember of it–kidding!) and what projects he’s got coming up in our interview:

You may not know him yet, but you will–Kevin “The King of Spring” Ogborn.  He is the brains and muscle behind all of Beach Blast Spring Break, and then some.  He is the founder of Energy X Productions, which produces high-energy events throughout the country.  The name of his company is fitting to its events and himself–this guy needs to be on television.

He truly knows what it is to live the good life…

Float, Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego

The Hard Rock Hotel San Diego located at the entrance of the Gaslamp Quarter celebrated the Grand Opening of two of its newest nightlife venues 207 and Float bar and lounge.  The weekend long event featured a star-studded guest list and Hard Rockin’ DJ’s!

Celebrities in attendance included: STP’s Scott Weiland, Ja Rule, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, Lil Jon, DJ AM, Asher Roth, Holly Montag, Verne Troyer, Shar Jackson, Brande Roderick, Claudia Jordan, Corinne Kaplan, Frankie J, Jason “Heat” Rossell, and UFC’s Dean Lister.

Here is a quick overview of how the Grand Opening went:

Friday, April 3rd guest DJ Jonathan Davis stuck to old-school hip-hop at Float despite a bombardment of requests from fans and Asher Roth’s actual attendance Davis still refused to play Roth’s new hit song “I Love College.” 

Davis was so busy on the 1s and 2s that he didn’t see the line forming of girls who wanted to chat it up with Korn’s frontman.  Security ended up dispersing the hordes of women so that Jon could continue spinning in peace.

Ja Rule

That same night at the opening of 207 Ja Rule got mobbed on the red carpet by a slew of beauties while MTV interviewed the rapper.  Frenzied fans started chanting his lyrics to get his attention after Ja finished up the interview he happily posed for photos and signed autographs. Aww how sweet!  And it seems there is no beef between Ja Rule and Lil Jon, the pair were seen giving each other shout outs at the opening of 207.  Later that night Ja Rule gave a special performance for guests and fans.

Celebrity Apprentice’s Brande Roderick brought her husband and her two friends to the opening of 207 and Float. She wanted a mini-vacation from all the attention she has been getting in LA from her stint on the hit reality show. She partied to her heart’s content until 3am.

Survivor’s Corinne Kaplan was seen flirting with rapper Asher Roth at the VIP section of Float. Sources saw the two sitting closely and at one point he had his arm around her speaking softly in her ear.

Shar Jackson took a quick weekend getaway from the daily grind of LA to go to the opening of 207 and Float in San Diego.  Shar was sipping grey goose cocktails, chatting up The Hills starlet, Holly Montag and dancing to the sounds of DJ AM on Saturday night (4/4) at the 207 while STP’s Scott Weiland and Verne Troyer were hammin’ it up for the cameras.

Even in this economy celebrities can’t afford to fly private.  So when they are spotted at the airport we sometimes catch them at their worst.  But some celebs, like Posh, still get all done up to travel.  Check out what your fave celeb is wearing to the airport and how badly they don’t want to be seen!

1.  Supermodel Gisele Bundchen looking casual and comfy or frumpy?  Gisele returned to the US from her South American honeymoon.

2.  Ringo Starr of The Beatles and his wife Barbara Bach goes through security at Los Angeles airport, California.  Ringo is trying to go unnoticed with the hat and shades for sure!

3. Zac Efron arrives at JFK airport, NYC.  Zac is looking very trendy with the skinny jeans!

4. “Private Practice” star Kate Walsh smiles for the camera as she departs from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Friday afternoon. She was dropped off by a friend who was driving her Cadillac Escalade Hybird. The popular actress, who is known as a “big tipper,” gave her airport security escort $20 as she was being led into the check-in line inside the LAX terminal building.

5.  Rihanna spotted at the Barbados International Airport.  Big sunglasses to hide the bruises, but she still looks very cute!  Rihanna looks like she is feelings better, almost looks too good?!?! 

6.  ‘Rescue me‘ star Denis Leary keeps a low profile in LA. Leary who is the lead in the new US series kept his hat down as he tried to sneak past photographer at LAX.  He looks like a normal person flying and no sunglasses!  Shades are a celebrity uniform! 

7.  Cameron Diaz stops to stick her finger in her ear before leaving Cleveland airport.  She looks quite flustered!

8. A smiling Sienna Miller leaves Los Angeles for New York.  Looking very casual and a bit too skinny!  Hope she gets good on the plane!

9. ‘Gossip Girl‘ stars, Blake Lively and boyfriend, Penn Badgley, board a flight at Los Angeles airport. Blake, who looked like she had just woken up, arrived in a taxi and on seeing waiting media tried to hide behind her pillow. Penn at one stage was seen hiding behind his passport. Interestingly, they checked in at the Premium Economy section – obviously no first-class tickets for the famous couple.

10.  Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, arrives at JFK airport wearing what looks like a fur coat.  Whether its at the airport or a playdate for her children, Posh is always dressed up.  Wonder if Posh ever just wants to throw up some sweats and be comfy?
