The ugly battle between Christie Brinkley and ex Peter Cook has ended after settlements were made and decided early this morning.

This week marked the second week the nasty trial was in session, and was supposed to get really really dirty- with allegations of infidelity and questioning Cook’s mental health.

So it looks as if we the public are going to be spared in hearing about that trainwreck!

Apparently, Brinkley and Cook’s lawyers were up all night trying to reach an agreement.  Finally at 6:00 A.M. this morning, an agreement was  decided upon.

Brinkley’s lawyer, Robert Cohen, said in Suffolk County Supreme Court in Central Islip that,

“It is my pleasure to report to the court that with much hard work … we reached an agreement.”

By the looks of things, Brinkley has come out of these negotiations the victor- keeping real estate, a boat, and of course, getting sole custody of their two children, Jack and Sailor Lee.   Cook was only awarded visitation rights.

The will be finalized in court by both parties sometime this morning.  Congrats on working it out, you two!

As the second week of the made-for-TV-movie-like divorce trial of Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook begins today, it looks like another woman will take the stand to probably admit an affair with Cook.

Bridget Nisivoccia, a 36-year-old interior designer, is testifying today in the nasty divorce between Brinkley and Cook.

She was hired to design Cook’s new home in Sag Harbor, Long Island… that’s it, and she is maintaining her stance that her relationship with Cook was strictly “professional.”  Nisivoccia told The Daily News, “we have mutual clients and share a professional relationship and a respected friendship.”

Is Peter Cook such a “sex fiend,” that any woman can be romantically linked to him?!  It seems like this scandalous trial is coming right out of a movie!

She is becoming part of the trial this week because another witness is going to talk about Nisivoccia’s connection to Cook, a source close to the case told The Daily News.

The other women in the trial are Carri Lyn Ciamarra; a fitness model who dated Cook for around six months last year, and Suzanne Shaw, Cook’s current girlfriend.

But Ciamarra is a married mom now and doesn’t want to be part of this outrageous divorce hearing.  Currently, her lawyer is trying to fight the subpoena.  To be honest, I don’t really see the relevance of her testifying, but that’s probably why I’m not a lawyer.

However, Shaw says she has nothing to hide.  She spent the Fourth of July in the Hamptons with Cook and his son- which sounds fairly normal so maybe she doesn’t have any shocking confessions to make.

To me, this whole fiasco of a trial is getting out of hand.  Cook and Brinkley need to think about their children and how this is affecting them.  And let’s not forget I’m sure this trial is rough for Christie.  Last week seemed pretty emotional for her as well.

Brinkley and Cook’s 10-year marriage dissolved back in 2006, and they have two children- Jack, who is 13, and Salior Lee, who is 10.  During the second week of trial, both sides will also be battling over custody of the children.

Last week, the two sides fought over the grounds for the divorce, and the dirty details emerged of Cook’s soft spot for Internet porn.  I don’t know if anything that bawdy will come out as the trial continues, but you never know!

I was just checking the latest news on cnn.com when I caught this video from CNN’s “Showbiz Tonight” program. It seems the website celebtv.com uncovered a voicemail message Charlie Sheen left on ex-wife Denise Richard’s voicemail back in August of 2005 when Denise filed for divorce.

According to “Showbiz Tonight,” Sheen left a message saying:

“You’re a f***ing liar. So, you know what it’s like, f*** you. Okay, I hope you rot in f***ing hell. You’re a piece of sh** f***ing liar and I hope you f***ing rot in hell. I hope I never f***ing see you again, c***. F*** you. You’re a coward and a liar and a f***ing n*****.

This is obviously Sheen’s response to Richards’ claims of his abuse, gambling problem and drug and alcohol addictions. The couple have two daughters together.

Whoever thought there’d be another public controversy like Alec Baldwin raised over a year ago with the angry tirade he left on voicemail for his daughter Ireland (with ex Kim Basinger)?!

Judging from pictures of the wedding, it seemed Sheen’s worst days were long behind him but this is one celebrity couple for the books!….The book of bitter break-ups that is!

It’s been about two or so weeks since we broke news describing the affair and subsequent divorce of the country movie star, Shania Twain, and her husband of 14 years, Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange.

Since then, Shania has been pretty quiet about what happened, but today she wrote a personal message on her website thanking her fans for their support.

In one part of the letter she says she will be back on top after she has “some time to heal this broken heart.”

Wow…so sad.

Here is what Shania wrote:

To my beloved fans:

As I am sure you have seen or heard; I am going through a rough time personally in my life. I wanted you all to know that I could not be getting through this without you. Your letters, emails and words of encouragement give me strength. Your overwhelming support reminds me to smile, no matter how deep the pain and to always be grateful for all the beautiful blessings in my life.

I have so much to say but I know the best way for me to speak is through my music. This is my therapy, my passion, and my love. I look forward to sharing it with all of you as I begin this new journey.

I need some time to heal this broken heart but make no mistake; I will be back and hopefully stronger than ever.

What a difficult time this must be, especially since all her personal business is in the spotlight. I really hope this doesn’t get ugly for the sake of their son.

It’s never right to cheat, people. You will break someone’s heart.

And then they might write a #1 song about it!

Say it ain’t so! Another Hollywood romance has come to an end as Jennifer Butler Murray files for divorce from her famous husband Bill Murray. And the break-up isn’t a pretty one: Jennifer is citing physical abuse, drug abuse, and alcohol addiction as the cause for break-up.

If that wasn’t bad enough, she is also saying that she had to deal with frequent abandonment, and that Bill has had sexual liaisons on his overseas travels (apparently not everything was “Lost in Translation”). She also said that Bill told her late last year that she was “lucky he didn’t kill her”–right after hitting her in the face. Whoa!

Bill Murray is well-known for roles in recent movies such as “Lost in Translation” and “Broken Flowers”, but it’s his comedic performances that have defined his career, such as being a castmember on “Saturday Night Live” and for roles in movies like “Caddyshack”, “Ghostbusters”, and “Groundhog Day”–but there is nothing funny about these allegations.

The couple have been together for 11 years–almost a century in Hollywood marriages–and they have four sons together.

Last week we reported that country music superstar, Shania Twain and her husband of 14 years, Robert “Mutt” Lange, were getting a divorce.

At the time, all the sources were calling it an amicable split. But now it looks like it was something else that tore them apart.

It’s another case of infidelity with the hired help. I can’t help but thinking about when this happened to Jude Law and Sienna Miller.

What I don’t get is that these men are dating/married to some of the hottest women in the world… but they still can’t seem to remain faithful!

The reason behind the split has surfaced and is being reported by People. According to their source, Mr. Mutt (what an appropriate name for him now) was having an affair with the hired help.

Marie Ann Thiébaud is an employee who has been the long time secretary and manager at the couple’s Swiss chateau.

It is also being reported that she and Lange have both left their respective spouses and inorder to continue to be in a relationship.

It’s always sad when a couple breaks up, but when it’s infidelity- that’s the worst…

In this case it even looks like the other woman was a close friend of the couple!

What a backstabber!

Of course, when contacted, Lange lied right through his teeth, denying any wrongdoing:

“It’s absolutely not the reason [for the separation].” Adding that he was not in romantic relationship with Thiebaud. “I’m not, no,” he said. “It’s not true.”

And Thiébaud could not be reached for any comments. Probably because she knows everyone loves Shania!

In the meantime, the singer is said to be terribly upset and devastated. Luckily, she is being surrounded and supported by a circle of close-knit family and friends. Let’s hope she bounces back from this stronger than ever.

Maybe we will hear exactly how she feels when she writes a new song about it! Hey, it could happen…

Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn have decided to tough it out and try to give their marriage another go. The two did not show up for the scheduled divorce hearing yesterday therefore their divorce has been dismissed.

The dismissal came a day after they attended an Eddie Vedder concert at the University of California at Berkeley, where the actor reportedly went on stage to dedicate a song to Robin.

The couple decided to go on a break back in December. Since then Sean has been linked to fellow celebs such as Sienna Miller and Petra Nemcova. But apparently his wife still loves him and is forgetting about the women he’s slept with–that are half her age–while they were on “a break.”

I’m sure they’ll have a long road to true forgiveness, but any marriage that doesn’t end in divorce is usually a good thing, don’t ya think?
