Celebrities included Jeff Conaway and Vikki Lizzi, Printz of the Black Eyed Peas, singer Monet, G-Girlz, Ajuku Girls, opera singer Stephanie Reese, Christina Lindley, Valerie Sheppard, Sebastian Siegel, Melissa ‘Mojo’ Hunter, and hostess Stella Stevens. In addition to the Mayor of Orange County and even the Prince of Costa Rica.
Despite dropping from Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab, Jeff Conaway looked well with his girlfriend, Vikki Lizzi, at his side.
We got to have a quick chat with the couple and Vikki informed us that season 2 of Celebrity Rehab is on the horizon, premiering this October. She said, “You have to watch. Dr. Drew checked me in.”
Perhaps the treatment worked because she and Jeff both looked healthy and happy. They both contributed to the Anaheim White House event by donating a painting they created together, along with Vikki’s brother Jay, who owns Stardust Comics. It was auctioned off, along with paintings by Fergie and a few select artists.
The exclusive event included hors d’oeuvres and champagne, a 5-Diamond gourmet dinner, beautiful atmosphere, live jazz and music performances by various artists, including Monet and the G-Girlz, as well as a fashion show. There was a raffle to win high-end prizes and an auction for unique items, such as volleyballs autographed by the U.S. Men’s Olympic Volleyball Team, clothing by featured designers, the paintings done by celebrities, even dates with the runway models.
This was all done to raise funds for Mentors for Youth and The Boys and Girls Club of Anaheim. Sponsors included Daisy Rock Guitars, Rock & Republic, Fuze, Robert Mondavi Winery, Hope Wine, Han Asian Vodka, Fiji Water, The Actors Room, Pacific Dance Center, A.B.S., and Cache.
The G-Girlz‘ came in looking as adorable as always and rocked the runway. We’re convinced they’ll be the next big tween pop sensations. They’ve got so much talent at their young ages, and besides their energetic performance, what amazed us was how humble and respectful they were; obviously products of good, down-to-earth parenting.
The Ajuku Girls, a newly formed 4 girl pop group, helped add even more girl-power to the evening. Not only did they perform a few songs for us, but they also modeled some of the fashions on the cat walk along with Monet. You can visit the Ajuku Girls MySpace page to see video of their runway debut.
The highlight of the night was getting to hold actual Olympic gold medals. The Gold medal winning team members appeared to be invincible with those babies on them. Yes, babies… I would protect that thing like it were my own child.
And being the wine conniseurs that we are at Hollywire, we were also excited to discover a new favorite that night… actually, several. We fell in love with the Hope Wine Company’s fine Sonoma wines. The best part is that Hope donates 50 percent of its profits to charity. Each type of wine (red or white, they’re all great, we promise you) benefits a different cause–from Breast Cancer, Autism to AIDS. Drinking for charity? Sign us up! www.hopewine.com
Leonardo Dicaprio is teaming up with watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre to develop two exclusive one-of-a-kind watches for charity.
The activist actor is working with the Swiss company to create the “Time to Care” program, where all the proceeds will be going to the Leonardo DiCaprio fund, which is part of the California Community Foundation.
“We all have to do our part to raise awareness about global warming and the problems we as a people face in promoting a sustainable environmental future for our planet,” said DiCaprio.
The first of the two watches is a unique Master Compressor Extreme Lab, featuring carbon fibre and titanium casing with an automatic tourbillion, two time zones and comes complete with an engraving of the actor’s signature on the back. It is valued at $300,000. It is also the same watch Leonardo wore to the premiere of ‘The 11th Hour,” which focused on the state of the world’s natural environment.
The second watch is a limited edition Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2, which is made of platinum and was designed for the 175th anniversary of Jaeger-LeCoultre. This one’s valued at $400,000.
Bids start at $5,000, and the proceeds will go to Hello Friend/Ennis William Cosby Foundation.
Cosby established the foundation after the tragic death of his son, Ennis, who was murdered in 1997.
This is the same eBay program that we told you about when we broke news that Kim Kardashian will be auctioning off some of her belongings.
$5,000…really?! I mean you can definitely buy ones just like it at your neighborhood thrift store for $5, I’m sure. I guess the fact that Bill Cosby wore/danced in it adds $4,995 of value to it.
It’s for a good cause, but that’s a steep price for an old sweater.
Who knows how the auction will go, but they probably would have sold quicker if it was back when The Cosby Show was the number one show and Bill was known as America’s Dad.
But good for him! I love Bill Cosby, just not enough to pay that much for a sweater.
Have you ever dreamed of having pieces of Kim Kardashians wardrobe? Well now here’s your chance! Kim is launching an auction on eBay, tonight (May 29). Now’s your chance to get your hands on some of her clothes like her Jimmy Choo boots, Chanel bags, a Cartier watch and a Missoni dress.
Kardashian will also take one winning bidder out for lunch and a shopping spree at her DASH store in Calabasas, California.
She says, “It’s going to be amazing! These are some of my favorite items… Plus, [you can] bid to have a fantastic lunch with me and my sisters, followed by some personal shopping help from us at our store.”
She’s urging other celebrities to follow her lead and use eBay’s Giving Works resource to help raise cash for unwanted items.
She adds, “You get to do something good… and look good doing it. And, in case you didn’t know, anytime you sell something on eBay, you can donate a percentage of your proceeds to charity.
“So clean out those closets and get rid of last season’s clothes for a great cause.”
A percentage of the proceeds will go to Kim’s favorite charity the Dream Foundation- which grants special wishes of terminally ill adults.
That family always takes care of you. In this case, they are putting clothes on your back. Clothes they have actually worn!
James Gandolfini, better known as Tony Soprano, is auctioning off 24 outfits worn in character on HBO’s hit series, The Sopranos.
All of the proceeds will benef the Wounded Warrior Project, which assists severely wounded soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Among the gangster-esque items set to be bid on at the Christie’s auction are the button-down blue shirt the James donned in the opening credits, the tan bathrobe with lavender trim and “S” insignia Tony wore to fetch his morning paper and feed his ducks in the pilot episode, and the pièce de résistance, the blood-spattered black and beige polo shirt, white tank top and black pants Tony wore while being shot by Uncle Junior.
The actor’s contract allowed him to keep the clothes after the show ended its six-season run last year. All of the clothing items have been personally donated and authenticated by Gandolfini.
I love it when a (pretend) mafia man has a heart!
The pop culture auction will take place on June 25th, with estimates for the costumes starting at $500. Gandolfini’s wardrobe, which includes many outfits with the original production tags attached, is expected to bring up to $36,500.
Another 37 costumes worn by other lead Sopranos characters, including Paulie Walnuts, Christopher Moltisanti and A.J. Soprano, also are being sold, though the proceeds from those sales will not benefit the Jacksonville, Florida-based veterans’ organization.
On Sunday, May 4, 2008, Hollywire attended “Jenny’s Walk,” a 5K walk held at San Diego State University in memory of former student Jenny Poliakoff. The walkathon, MC’d by Johnny V of VH1’s Scott Baio is 46… and Pregnant and VJ Michael Benz, raised more than $104,000 for The Friendship Circle, an organization dedicated to helping special needs children and their families of which Jenny was a founding volunteer.
The also event had support from celebrities, including singer Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, actress Jillian Murray, to star in David Zucker’s An American Carol, actor Michael Copon, to star in the prequel to Scorpion King, singer (and former beauty on The Bachelor) Ashlee Willis, actor and producer Paul Alessi, producer Jeff Kalligheri, and - last, but certainly not least - Emmy Award winner Carlos Ramirez (a.k.a. twin brother of Efrin ‘Pedro’ Ramirez in Napoleon Dynamite).
Participants walked a path through SDSU’s campus and once they crossed the finish line, enjoyed a fun-filled day of barbecue, a carnival full of face painting, games and sports activities for children and adults, an award ceremony to recognize extraordinary kids and volunteers, and, likely the most memorable part of the day for the many swooning females, a musical performance by Jeff Timmons.
Still lookin’ good, Jeff!
“I’m so blessed to be where I am and have what I have. This is the least I can do for the community and for the people who need it most,” said Jeff, an avid supporter of children’s charities. “Being a dad myself, I feel very strong about caring for kids, helping them live healthy lives and have bright futures.”
Speaking of bright futures, Hollywire happened to notice a special spark between Jeff and actress Jillian Murray.
HW: What ever happened to Deborah Gibson, Jeff?
JT: (Laughs) That was a completely fabricated rumor that started after she and I attended a charity event. It wasn’t even like we went together. The most we did together was take a photo. She’s a great person, but we’ve never been anything.
HW: So, what about Jillian? You and her seem to be very close. Nice catch, she’s HOT!
JT: (Breaks out in laughter again) Yes, she is beautiful.
HW: So, you two are dating??
JT: (Grins) You’re killing me here! No, she I are a good friends.
Yeah, we’ve never heard that one before. Hmmm… with the way things are going in Hollywood, maybe we should add Jillian to our Baby Bump Patrol list… just in case.
P.S. How adorable are they??
Anyway, if you aren’t already familiar with her, Jillian Murray has been on Drake and Josh, appeared on various television shows, plays one of the lead video game characters in Xbox’s Mass Effect, but most recently has been busy filming American High School, Knuckle Draggers, and David Zucker’s An American Carol, where she will co-star with Kelsey Grammer and Kevin Farley (brother of the late Chris Farley). An American Carol is set to release on the big screen September 13th of this year.
“I was never able to do as much volunteer work as I wanted when I was a kid,” said Jillian, regrettably. “But now I make it a point to give my time to supporting such important causes. Jenny was an amazing person, and it’s very important for me to spread the blessings I have been given in my life like she did.”
Another fact about Jillian… she’s a dog lover and has a little yorkie of her own named Bijou.

Jessica Alba was spotted handing out presents at Thomas Riley High School in L.A. on Friday, May 2nd. Thomas Riley is a special school for under-aged expectant mothers.
Alba, who is 8 months pregnant with her first child, thought it would be nice to help the young mothers by providing them with some essential items needed to care for a baby.
At this stage in a pregnancy most women can only think of what they need for their baby, not the needs of other. Jessica Alba has shown that she is a genuinely caring person.
Julianne Hough, Dancing with the Stars‘ young beauty, and now, recording artist, has partnered with Dr. Scholl’s to raise money for Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping children. From now to May 7th, fans and shoe fanatics alike can log onto www.greatforthesole.com to bid on a pair of sexy dancing shoes worn by Julianne on Dancing with the Stars, as well as shoes worn by current and former celebrities from the show.
Kinda makes your toothache, huh? Not only is she young, hot, and amazingly talented… she also supports charitable causes. Pfft, show-off.
According to 2006 tax records, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, donated over 8 million dollars to various charities.
They have given at least 4 million dollars to their own charity the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which was set up two years ago to aid humanitarian causes around the world.
In 2006, the foundation donated about $2.4 million, including $1 million gifts to Doctors Without Borders (International Division) and the Global AIDS Alliance.
The foundation’s other donations include:
$137,935 to the Namibia Red Cross Action Program (the birth place of their biological daughter, Shiloh)
$100,000 to the Daniel Pearl Foundation, a trust set up to honor the former Wall Street Journal reporter murdered by Islamic extremists in Pakistan(Jolie played the widow of the slain journalist in A Mighty Heart)
$100,000 to the Epidermolysis Bulloma Medical Research Foundation, which is supported by other A-listers including Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox.
In addition, $20,000 was donated to an art park in Los Angeles while two orphanages visited by Jolie received $5,000 each.
I can definitely see why these two are called “Hollywood’s power couple.” There is nothing like beautiful do-gooders.
