Clay Aiken Thinks That Adam Lambert Is “Contrived, Awful & Frightening”

Posted on 22 May 2009 by Tammy Cakes

Now you would think that Clay Aiken would have been the first person to be upset about Adam Lambert’s loss on American Idol because of their vast similarities. They’re both gay,  came in second place on AI, they’re both into theater, and they both have girls going crazy for them. But somehow that’s not enough to gain Clay’s approval. When asked what he thought about this season’s American Idol he said that he tries to watch one episode a season just to see what the stage is like. This season he caught the country themed episode where Adam sang Ring of Fire. Clay was not blown away like the rest of us.

He wrote on his $29.99 a month website (surprisingly yes, he does have a fan club willing to dish out that much money):

I only turn the show on once a season, and only to see what the set looks like each year. This year, I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing “Ring of Fire” and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening!

I wasn’t really a fan and found myself surprised whenever folks told me that they liked him. Granted, I never saw another performance (and many folks who I trust said that he was great) but I can’t imagine I would have enjoyed it. Just not my cup of tea at all. To each his own.

I will admit if that was the only performance I had seen of Adam all season I would have been put off a little two but still. I think Clay has to have a little bit of jealousy bottled up. I think Adam has way more fans than Clay ever will and will sell more records and will gain more fame. So take that Clay Aiken.

Top 5 Greatest American Idol Finale Moments

Posted on 16 May 2009 by Kirstie

It’s hard to believe that the eighth American Idol winner will be crowned in just a few days, but it’s true — this season’s final two, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, will perform Tuesday in hopes of taking the title Wednesday night.  In honor of the upcoming finale, I present to you the top five moments from previous American Idol finales.

#5 | Gladys Knight & The New Pips
Gladys Knight has found her new backup singers, and they’re Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr.! In this hilarious clip from the 2008 season seven finale, the three Tropic Thunder stars prove what talented dancers they are. Robert Downey Jr.’s facial expressions especially kill me.

#4 | Michael Sandecki’s Surprise Duet
Early in season five, Simon told rejected contestant Michael Sandecki that he resembled Clay Aiken.  After winning the award for Best Impersonation, Sandecki performs “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me” and is surprised by a very special guest.

#3 | Bad Judgment
Season four was riddled with controversy, including season two contestant Corey Clark’s allegations of an affair with Paula.  In response to ABC’s Primetime Live special, “Fallen Idol,” in which Clark shared details of this supposed affair, American Idol showed its sense of humor with their “Crime Time Exposé: Bad Judgment,” which investigates Simon’s secret affair with a mystery person. Somehow, the answer to who that person is isn’t very surprising.

#2 | Simon and Paula’s Affair
Boy, Simon sure does get around, doesn’t he?  Two years prior to “Bad Judgment,” Simon had an affair with someone else: Paula!  They enjoy a romantic meal of strawberries, whipped cream, and champagne and share a passionate kiss before Simon wakes up and realizes he’s been dreaming, and he’s in bed with someone else!

#1 | The Original Idol
Kelly Clarkson
blew audiences away in the first season of the show, and millions around the world cheered as she was named the first American Idol, a title that was followed by platinum selling records and immense radio success. Not gonna lie, I still get a little teary-eyed when I watch her poignant victory.

What are your favorite moments from past American Idol finales?  What are you hoping to see on the show next week? Who do you want to see win?

Claymates Speak Out About Their Idol Coming Out

Posted on 24 September 2008 by Tammy Cakes

It seems that there are some people in the world who are actually surprised by the recent news that Clay Aiken is gay. What I want to know is what rock have they been hiding under? I figured out Clay was gay the moment I heard him sing on American Idol. Just look at the guy come on. He has fairy written all over him.

It is nice to see that 98% of the Claymates are not bothered by this news, they shouldn’t be. But there is that 2% percent and they are furious and apparently feel very betrayed by the singer, and are still waiting for a “confirmation” because there could be a possibility that People magazine is lying.

Here are just a few quotes from some perturbed and disappointed Claymates:

This is a gut wrenching day for The ClayNation. Somebody wake me up, I hope its a dream.”

“please tell me I’m not the only one who is shocked beyond belief! I feel numb I’m so upset. This can’t be real!! How can you guys say this won’t change anything? This changes EVERYTHING. I don’t even know what to think right now”

“I wish him well and hope he gets some peace of mind now BUT I feel he lied to everyone-especially us fans. He should have just said so years ago. I feel like we were “used”. I still love to hear him sing but I also feel he has now become like a Michael Jackson and it’s a bit too weird! He isn’t just the plain ordinary person with the values he first stood for.-but it’s just my opinion.”

“One really sad thing for me that sums this up. This morning at the breakfast table my 9 and 10 year olds were there and the radio was on and they came on with the headline “Former American Idol…” and I knew what was coming and I ran to turn it off. I didn’t want my young children to hear that and ask questions about it. To me this is the saddest thing and the reason I won’t be able to hold him as my idol. I remember the day when I ran to turn it on and called all the family to watch with pride. It just seems so in your face now and I don’t want exposing my kids to this. “

“I just feel rather silly now having spent the last 5 years drooling over and being fan girly for a singer I thought was straight and now finding out he is gay. It does change my perception of who he is and how I see him. We always called him our boyfriend and that won’t be happening anymore.

Clay Aiken Confirms that He’s Gay

Posted on 23 September 2008 by Loretta

Clay Aiken and his new born son are on the cover of this weeks People magazine with a caption that says, “New Dad Clay Aiken, ‘Yes I’m Gay.’”

As if we didn’t know that already. Clay says that his son is the reason behind his decision to come out, stating that, “I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things.”

Here is part of the interview Clay had with People:

On why he decided to come out:
“It was the first decision I made as a father. I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that.”

On how he thinks his fans will react:
“Whether it be having a child out of wedlock, or whether it be simply being a homosexual, it’s going to be a lot. I’ve never intended to lie to anybody at all. … But if they leave, I don’t want them to leave hating me.”

On telling his mom four years ago:

“It was dark. I was sitting there, thinking to myself. I don’t know why I started thinking about it … I just started bawling. She made me pull over the car and it just came out. She started crying. She was obviously somewhat stunned. But she was very supportive and very comforting. She still struggles with things quite a bit, but she’s come a long way.”

On raising his son Parker Foster Aiken:

“I have no idea if he’ll be gay or straight. It’s not something I’ll have anything to do with, or that he’ll have anything to do with. It’s already probably up inside the code there … No matter what the situation you’re in, if you’re raised in a loving environment, that’s the most important thing.”

Good for him for deciding not to live a lie anymore. He is definitely teaching his son to be proud of who you are. I don’t know why gays and lesbians keep their sexuality a secret anyways, society is more accepting of different lifestyles these days.

What do you think…should he have come clean sooner or not at all?

Clay Aiken’s a Daddy!

Posted on 08 August 2008 by Tammy Cakes

Clay Aiken’s son is here!

The 29-year-old singer and his best friend, producer Jaymes Foster, who was artificially inseminated with Aiken’s sperm, welcomed a baby boy this morning in his home state of North Carolina.

Clay Aiken wrote on his site:

“I’m sure you know…I hate putting the cart before the horse. Not my way to tempt fate. But I wanted to stop by, if only for a second, so you could be the first folks I tell…HE’S HERE!

“My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken.

“Faye Aiken, Clay’s mother, told Raleigh radio station WRAL that her son’s longtime producer gave birth to son Parker at 8:08 a.m- (that is pretty cool if it’s true cuz then it would be 8:08am on 8/8/08). Parker Foster Aiken tipped the scales at 6 pounds, 2 ounces and measured in at 19 inches.”

She also broke the news that the baby did not inherit dad’s fiery red mop on top instead saying that he has dark hair and that, upon seeing him, the pop singer was “smiling from ear to ear.”

“The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy. Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also. The Aiken family, the Foster family, and the Parker family are all thrilled.”

Parker is the surname of Aiken’s late stepfather, whom the singer has frequently credited with helping raise him.

Aiken, 29, and Jaymes Foster, whose age is somewhere around the 50-year mark, have been friends for years. She worked on several Aiken albums, including A Thousand Different Ways and On My Way Here.

Although theirs is not a romantic relationship, the duo plan to raise the baby together.

Clay Aiken to be a Daddy

Posted on 29 May 2008 by ksouthall

Clay Aiken

Yep, American Idol loser alum and Broadway star Clay Aiken is apparently going to be a father. You read it right.  Clay Aiken has reportedly knocked up fag hag gal pal Jaymes Foster. Jaymes, who is in her 40s, is an LA-based record producer and oversaw a few of Clay’s album productions.

The baby is said to have been conceived via artificial insemination.  Yea, because there is no way he put his who-who in her cha-cha!  Clay supposedly intends to play in active role in raising the child due in August.

Hmmmm

Start saving for that kid’s therapy sessions now cuz, damn!  That can get expensive.
