Olympic Gold Medal Skater, Kristi Yamaguchi, is the second woman of the six seasons of Dancing With The Stars, to win the mirror ball trophy. The first being soap opera star Kelly Monaco in the first season of the show.
Kristi and partner Mark Ballas truly deserved to win since they have been amazing to watch all season long. They held nothing back and scored all 10s on their last three dances. This was the first time that a three dance sweep of perfect scores were earned by a team in DWTS finale history.
The charming runner-up, Jason Taylor, and his partner Edyta Silwinski told the host Samantha Harris that “Kristi very much deserves it.” The camaraderie and competition between Jason and Kristi was great entertainment to watch throughout the season and on last night’s finale show Jason’s final dance finally earned him 3 perfect 10s from the judges and he shouted to Kristi, “Hey Kristi, it does feel good!”
Finishing in third place was Latin hottie Cristian de la Fuente and his partner Cheryl Burke. Christian has been amazing in his last 3 weeks of dancing–dancing with just one arm since he’d torn his tendon on his left arm a few weeks ago and couldn’t put any stress on that arm–you could hardly tell he was injured. Oh, and he’s oh so hot too–did I mention that?

Marissa Jaret Winokur and her partner Tony Dovolani finally got voted off DWTS. I would have gagged if they actually made it to the finals. I don’t know how Marissa made it to the semi-finals. She is not a very elegant dancer and I didn’t find her dancing entertaining at all.
Before the final goodbye dance, always bubbly Winokur said, “It’s been incredible! No one expected us to get this far…[Tony] has worked so hard with me. This has been such an incredible experience.”
With Marissa and Tony gone, that leaves three couples in the finals: Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas, Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska, and Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke. Although I am not sure who it is yet, may the best couple win.
Ok! magazine reports that Usher has been lined up to perform on the season finale of Dancing With The Stars.
He has reportedly even asked Mario’s partner, Karina Smirnoff, to be his dance partner even though she was recently booted off. Three female dancers from DWTS will also perform in the number.
R&B singer Mario and his partner Karina Smirnoff were voted off DWTS last night. I didn’t think that the pair could win the competition but I think that they should have stayed at least for another week. That Marissa girl really needs to go home. Her dancing is not elegant at all.
“I’ve had a great time performing on the show. I had a great partner,” Mario said, making sure to give props to his partner, as well as a making a shout-out to “the real brave ones”—the U.S. troops stationed in the Middle East.
“Len, thank you for all your comments,” he said graciously to the man who yesterday told him he had “bloody big, ugly” feet. “Ultimately, you helped me become a better ballroom dancer.”
Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough appeared on Good Morning America this morning, April 30th, after their Dancing With the Stars elimination.
But, of course, that was not all they talked about.
Both mentioned that they wanted to travel to take advantage of the free time they’ll have now that they are out of the running. When asked if they were planning to travel together, they just smiled and said nothing.
Then this pops up on the screen:
A photo of the “dance” partners practicing the Tonsil Tango on Malibu Beach on April 17th.
And that point, the couple knew there was no denying their non-platonic relationship, or “showmance.” After a moment of awkward laughter, Derek simply states, “there’s your answer.”
There you have it, another failed attempt at trying to hide a celeb romance.
FYI… In case you were curious, Shannon is 34 and Derek is barely ripe at age 22.

Last night on Dancing With The Stars, Christian de la Fuente suffered from a “muscle cramp” while dancing the samba with his partner, Cheryl Burke.
Towards the end of the dance, Christian grabs his arm and tries desperately to go on. Cheryl has no idea that he is hurt and goes down to do a dip and ends up falling on the floor and as she reaches for Christian, she pulls him down with her. Not realizing, still, that her partner’s hurt grabs him to help her off the floor. Christian looks at her like “stupid bitch I’m hurt and I’m having a hard enough time getting myself off of you, how am I suppose to help you up?”
Here is a clip of Christian and Cheryl’s samba last night. Fast forward to 1:20 to see this drama go down.
Actress, Marlee Matlin was the next star to be eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. Although I’m a fan of hers and thought that she did an amazing job for not being able to hear the music, I think that it was definitely her time to go. You could tell the dances were becoming too difficult for her making her dancing became uncomfortable to watch.
“I had a great time,” the Oscar-winning actress, who has been deaf since she was 18 months old, said via her longtime interpreter, Jack Jason. “Thank you to all the fans, to everyone!”
The oldest celebrity contestant this season, Priscilla Presley, 62, wasn’t able to dazzle the judges or the voters this time around and was sent home last night.
On Monday, Priscilla and partner Louis Van Amstel received a 21 out of 30 and was told by head judge Len Goodman, “It lacked spontaneity for me. It was too careful. I was disappointed with the performance.”
Priscilla left in good spirits saying, “This has been an incredible experience. It is life-changing. … I learned so much about myself and all the things I can do.”
