Posted on 20 July 2008 by Syndeee

Claudia Jordan Guest BloggerCelebrity Guest blogger Claudia Jordan has partnered up with Hollywire to bring you behind the scenes and inside information on her life in Hollywood. Claudia is currently most well known as ‘briefcase girl #1′ on Deal or No Deal; but believe me, there’s a lot more to this amazing girl than meets the eye.

Claudia invited Hollywire to visit her at Sirius Radio in Hollywood, CA during a live broadcast of her Monday night radio show, The Claudia Jordan Show. As you begin to read her blog on Hollywire, you’ll soon learn what we learned upon meeting her: she’s smart, sexy, funny, hard working, and extremely driven.

We are honored and pleased to have such a beautiful and intelligent woman ‘writing’ her mind on Hollywire.com! Click on “Claudia’s Corner” at the top of the page anytime you want to get your CJ fix!

‘W’ to appear on Deal or No Deal

Posted on 20 April 2008 by CeCe

President George W. Bush taped a “surprise good luck video” in the White House Library on March 17 for Army Captain Joe Kobes who served in Iraq and was a contestant on the NBC show “Deal or No Deal,” the White House said on Friday.

“The show’s producers contacted the White House after learning from Captain Kobes that the president is one of his heroes,” White House spokesman Tony Fratto said. Kobes, an Army transportation officer, served three tours of duty in Iraq and received a Purple heart for injuries after his truck was blown up in 2004, the White House said.

“The president thanked him for his service to his country and for serving in Iraq and wished him good luck,” Fratto said. “And you’ll have to watch the show to see how Captain Kobes did.”

Captain Joseph Kobes is going to be competing for cash in the popular show to attempt to win enough cash to pay off his parents’ home. He has to go on this show to earn money to pay off his parents’ home!? Hasn’t this man done enough already? The President should have just sent him money instead of his video message.

Contestants also bring family and friends on the show to provide support, and Bush’s video appearance was intended to express his best wishes to Kobes.

The program with George W. Bush will air on Monday, April 21. I wonder if Dubya will bring good luck to Kobes? Looks like we’ll have to tune in Monday to find out the answer to that deal-breaker.

Hollywire was involved in this incredible Young Hollywood Mansion Party which was an exclusive high-profile nightlife experience; it took place in a beautiful private residence in the Hollywood Hills on Saturday, March 22nd, 2008.

I was one of the peeps working the guest list and checking in talent, which included Bill Maher, Tom Arnold, Shane Sparks of “So You Think You Can Dance” & “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew,” Claudia Jordan of “Deal or No Deal,” Efren Ramirez of “Napoleon Dynamite” and many others.

With event sponsors such as Ford Models, L.A. Eyeworks, Lithuanian Vodka, Smart Water, Hard Candy Cosmetics, and Sunset Tan, this event launched THE celebration of fashion, music, and nightlife surrounding Los Angeles Fashion Week.

A midnight fashion show, produced by Color Studios, featured the works of several designers. The guest house on the private one-acre Hollywood Hills compound was converted into a welcoming gift suite where select Young Hollywood Mansion Party attendees receive gift bags with goodies from over a dozen sponsors including 5 Gum, AquaSwiss, Shula’s Grill 347, Sugar & Spice Cakes, and Edible Arrangements.

The official footwear and apparel retailer of Young Hollywood Mansion Party, Kicks Los Angeles, produced visual displays and giveaways that complemented the fashion celebration theme of the event.
