Last night, November 6th, Rihanna broke her silence in an emotional interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20. In the interview Rihanna revealed the horror she went through last February when Chris Brown attacked her. For those of you who missed it, the full interview can be seen in the videos below.
A second preview of Rihanna’s first interview since her brutal beating at the hands of her then boyfriend, Chris Brown was shown on Good Morning America today, November 6th. Rihanna went more into detail about the night of the attack in this clip and the full interview will air tonight on 20/20. Check out the video below.
Rihanna gave her first interview since she was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown, to Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America this morning.
While we only got to see a 5 minute preview today, we’re promised that tomorrow night the full interview on 20/20 will answer everyone’s questions about what really happened that night.
It’s really nice to hear Rihanna speak so openly about her abuse, because up until now we’ve only heard Chris’s side of the story which is basically that he “doesn’t know what happened.”
But apparently he DOES know what happened, because this incident was only one of many. Rihanna definitely insinuates that this was a very dangerous relationship, which is shocking because up until this incident they seemed so happy together.
Check out the 5 minute preview of Rihanna’s tell-all below:
Charlie Gibson is stepping down as ABC’s ‘World News’ reporter and Diane Sawyer will be replacing him.
The NY Post broke the news this morning saying that Charlie would continue to report the world news until the end of this year. Diane Swayer will then become the second female news anchor, following Katie Couric.
Radaronline obtained an email stating the reasons for Charlie’s departure. Charlie said,”It has not been an easy decision to make. This has been my professional home for almost 35 years. And I love this news department, and all who work in it, to the depths of my soul.”
Gibson goes on to say that ‘World News’ “is now operating at a very accelerated, but steady, cruising speed, and I think it is an opportune time for a transition – both for the broadcast and for me.”
Gibson took the reigns as ‘World New’ host in 2006 after Bob Woodruff was hit by bomb on the roadside in Iraq and Elizabeth Vargas went on maternity leave and never returned.
Gibson brought ‘World News’ to the top of the network news chain, maintaining the top ratings spot among the three for most of his tenure until recently. He closed each broadcast with his signature sign-off phrase, “I’m Charlie Gibson, and I hope you had a good day.”
