So what do celebrities do with they get rejected?  They dissappear or pull some other kind of publicity stunt.  Apparently the reason behind Brown’s dissappearance is that he was upset that he was not the opening act at nightclub recently.  Brown emerged from hiding this evening issuing a statement through his publicist.  Brown said he was upset at, “How we as entertainers are so disrespected at times.” “I felt that that was my chance to prove that I was talented and I was really excited.  When I was told that I couldn’t perform…. that really hurt… It got a bit overwhelming and I needed to get away.”  Brown went on to say, “It is wrong for me not to inform my manager…. about my whereabouts, especially when I am usually so routine and big on communication, but I felt a little lost and needed to get away.”   Brown has apologized to his family and his fans and thanked them for their support.  He ended his statement with, ” I have no further comments.”                                                                                                                                                                       I think that one too many Disney stars have been in the spotlight lately all with controversial stories.  What do you think?   Was this a publicity stunt?  Or did he need some time away?

Last week we reported that Miley Cyrus was rumored to be in talks with Disney about an autobiography. It has now been confirmed that Cyrus will indeed pen a book about her measly 15 years in existence. She has signed a seven-figure deal with Disney Book Group to write a book about her early life in Tennessee, her move to Los Angeles and the solid relationship she has with her parents. I think they should hold off this book for a year or two to let more raunchy pictures of her be leaked onto the Internet, or maybe until her BFF Mandy turns 21 and they start partying together. But Miley seems happy to share with people who she really is, saying:

“I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me. I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together, and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams.”

Yea, like I didn’t see that coming.Her book is slotted to hit stores in spring 2009, when the Hannah Montana movie is also scheduled for release. You have got to give Disney credit, that is a sure fire way to make the maximum amount of money- Miley mania!

And I still think it should be titled Miley Cyrus: Confessions of a Peace Sign Addict!

People magazine is reporting that Orlando Brown, A.K.A. “Eddie” on Disney’s “That’s So Raven”, has gone missing. The Disney star left his manager’s Studio City home early Tuesday morning for a quick trip to 7-Eleven and never returned. Brown has missed a full day worth of meetings and appointments in preparation for a photo shot scheduled to take place on Wednesday. Orlando’s family is very concerned for his well being as it is out of character for Brown not to contact anyone. He always keeps in touch with family and friends.  Brown’s manager has been checking local hospitals and posting myspace bulletins in an attempt to find any information on his whereabouts.

I don’t mean to be insensitive; but, is Orlando really missing or is this just another Hollywood publicity stunt? I have not found any reports of the police being notified of his disappearance, no major news stations are reporting this,  and the contact number for people with information is his publicist, Elayne Rivers, not local authorities or his family.

We’ve seen crazier things in Hollywood before–we can only hope, for the sake of his family, that this is a bad publicity stunt that will come to an end immediately.  And shame on them if it is for publicity; however, if it is for real, I feel for his family and friends and I do truly hope it ends well.

Disney Studios is once again faced with controversy:  L.A. Weekly has an ad running for an escort service that has a picture of 20 year old Disney Channel actress, Brenda Song, as the featured call girl.

The ad shows a picture of Song’s face with an ad reading, “Layla…Hawaiian Beauty.  Come and get lei’d.”  Brenda, who plays “London Tipton” on the “Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” did not give the escort service permission to use her image.  Disney lawyers contacted the escort service and told them, “This is an unauthorized use of Brenda Song’s image and her personal attorney has issued a cease and desist order to the advertiser.” Disney has had a lot of picture scandals lately and Song, until now, is one of the remaining stars that’s maintained a wholesome image.  She now fears that her image will be ruined.

Miley Cyrus is only fifteen years old; so, who is telling Miley that she has enough life experience to write an autobiography? Disney Books apparently thinks it’s a great idea.  A very secret deal is in the works and the search has begun for a writer to start the process of writing down Miley’s last 15 years.

Even though Miley is wildly popular these days, I do not think she has amassed enough life experience in 15 years to write an autobiography that I would like to read.  I mean, really, what could she tell us that we probably don’t already know?

I think if this really is going to happen the title should be Miley Cyrus: Confessions of a Peace Sign Addict. Now that autobiography is something I would read. With that title, it would be going straight to the top of the bestsellers list!

Ryan Gosling revealed that while on the set of the Mickey Mouse Club, he taught fellow mouseketeers Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera about sex.

He explained, according to Heatworld: “I was just telling them what I’d heard about sex, you know, positions and stuff.”

And this hot topic landed him in hot water with Disney execs.

Gosling added: “Disney had a meeting with me, and they were like, ‘You’re not Disney material. We’re gonna kick you off the show if you say anything sexual again.’

“I’m fucking 12! All I care about is sex! How can I not talk about it? I don’t know what they expected.”

Vanessa Hudgens, who was already scolded once by millions after her naked pictures surfaced on the internet, has now gotten herself into some more hot water.

Vanessa was at a Hollywood club with some friends Sunday night, and by a fluke the LAPD just happened to  be making rounds to the bars checking to see if their were any underage drinkers. Vanessa was arrested, and the star’s rep did not deny the incident occured.  Vanessa’s mom called the incident “stupid” and “pathetic.”

I wonder what Disney is going to say now. Is this girl trying to lose a good thing? Is she trying to get out of her contract. I think the girl definitely needs some help before she turns into the other Disney tragedy, Lindsay Lohan.
