Miley Cyrus is doing her small part by holding an auction on eBay for the dress she wore to the Grammys in order to raise money for Haitian relief.  The Herve Leger dress will go to the highest bidder on eBay next week. Miley Cyrus tells USA Today,

“I’m going to auction it (the dress) off on eBay for the Red Cross. It’s the little things you can do. I think it’s really important that everybody come (sic) together because disaster relief isn’t just now. It’s how we’re going to help years from now. We have to restore an entire place. It just can’t be one person, one foundation, one group of people. All people have to come together.”

The Hannah Montana star received both praise and flak for her choice in dress, but she is smart, knowing that she was going to use fashion to help she choice a dress that would get people talking and therefor be desirable to own.  People are saying it’s too tight, or too short, but personally I just don’t get the shoulder pads.  That’s one fashion that could have stayed in the ’80s.

The more I hear Miley talk the more I like her.  Given that she is only 17, she is incredibly articulate and wise beyond her years. Miley is using her fame to help the world, others could take note.  I hope more people get inspired by Miley.

WTF!?!  What mom would allow their child to be the kid who follows Pamela Anderson around all night carrying the tacky train to her dress?

Pamela Anderson literally had a nine year old girl follow her down the red carpet for the Hollywood Style Awards holding her dress up (ya–irony of all ironies, that she’s dressed like a cheap whore, exploiting a young girl, all in the name of fashion).

According to Page Six, “She [the little girl] didn’t even have her own seat [during the awards ceremony] and had to sit at Pamela’s feet, where people nearly stepped on her to get to the stage.  The girl looked uncomfortable and kept tugging on her dress to get her attention, but Pamela waved her away.”

Page Six further reports,

“Pamela was telling people it was her daughter,” the attendee said. “And, after she presented David LaChapelle with an award onstage, she shouted ‘daughter’ in front of the whole auditorium, and slapped her leg like she was calling a puppy. The girl rushed up to grab her train.”

Adelaide is the daughter of makeup artist to the stars Sharon Gault, who was believed to be at the event.

A spokesman for the Child Labor Coalition said, “I would want to speak to the child to ask her if it is something she willingly did. Nine is very young, and an awards ceremony is a long time for a child to be out holding a dress.” Anderson’s agent, Chris Smith, didn’t get back to us.

Shakira was on the radio with Ryan Seacrest this morning and he asked her about being on the red carpet at the VMAs last Sunday wearing the same exact dress as Pink.

Shakira told Ryan that her stylist told her “You are going to wear a one of a kind dress.  No one else in the world has it.”

She also talks about what happened backstage after Kanye upstaged Taylor Swift.
