Sean “Diddy” Combs just got engaged to singer Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura. No wedding date has been set.
According to a source for Star Magazine, the bachelor father of six “told everyone to keep it extremely quiet because he didn’t want it to get out, but you could tell he was excited.”
Diddy revealed his engagement to the 17-years-younger singer on June 5th at his son Justin’s 8th grade graduation ceremony in Riverdale, N.Y.
The couple met after Combs signed her up to his label, Bad Boy Records, in 2006, before he ended his 10-year relationship with model Kim Porter last July.
According to an insider Sam Ronson gave Lindsay Lohan a Cartier diamond ring worth $22,000 for her birthday.
Britain’s Daily Mirror is reporting that a source told them,
‘Sam took Lindsay shopping as part of her birthday present. Although Lindsay is the major breadwinner, Sam has her own money and is very proud. It’s not an engagement ring–simply a token of her commitment. Lindsay is thrilled and she and Sam are content.’
So are they trying to say it’s a promise ring? Last time I checked an engagement ring and a commitment ring were the same thing. Anyway, I am sure that the ring will be a nice replacement for Lindsay’s tacky SR ring.
Kate Hudson was seen wearing what appears to be a huge engagement ring earlier this week and a source close to the family said that Owen Wilson is the man that gave it to her. Apparently Owen proposed to Kate last week in Miami. The source states that,
Owen picked out the ring and went for the biggest one he could find. He was nervous about proposing but Kate was thrilled and the whole thing was really emotional.
Kate and Owen began dating in 2006, after co-starring together in You, Me, and Dupre, and although they appeared to be a happy couple they decided to call it quits in June 2007. It was rumored that the break up was too much for Owen and just one month later he attempted suicide. Even though they were not together at the time Kate gave him some much needed support. The couple rekindled their love and began seeing each other again in March 2008.
A source close to Kate said, ” Kate supported Owen during his low patch and that proved to him she’s the women he wants to be with forever.”
Reps for both Kate and Owen have not yet confirmed the engagement.
I hope that their relationship lasts this time, they make such a cute couple.
Both Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds’ reps have confirmed that the two hot stars have indeed become engaged! The couple have been dating seriously for over a year. Ryan 31, popped the question to Scarlett 23, recently and she accepted. Ryan is currently in Boston filming a movie titled The Proposal co-starring Sandra Bullock. Scarlett has just finished her album and has recently filmed a music video.
No wedding date has been set yet, both have said that they are thrilled! Most likely they are just enjoying being engaged.
The seductive siren is suspected to show off her bling bling at the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in New York. She is set to wear the always fashionable and delicious Dulce and Gabbana.

Carmen Electra is once again engaged to a rocker. This time to Korn’s guitarist Rob Patterson who will become the third Mr. Carmen Electra. She was first married to Dennis Rodman and than to Dave Navarro.A source told People: “He told friends three days ago that he got engaged. The ring is a black diamond set in white diamonds.”Patterson reportedly proposed to Electra while they were in Vegas celebrating her 36th birthday. The couple has been dating less than a year.I don’t understand why Carmen Electra is attempting to get married again. She probably will be divorced a couple months after her nuptials are said. She needs to come to grips that she is just one of those celebrities who should never get married cuz it always leads to divorce. Why is she so anxious to have a ring on her finger?
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are finally engaged. I wonder what Papa Joe thinks about this…I’m guessing he’s not too thrilled. I mean, if he didn’t think Nick Lachey was good enough for his precious Jessica, I can’t see that he’d think Ashlee’s choice was much better….I also wouldn’t doubt that their relationship will last very long as long as Papa Joe is in the picture–he is such the meddling in-law of the worst kind, ya know? Yet, Ashlee is a little feisty and she may have more common sense than Jess than to let her father control her love relationship.
EDIT: Pete seems to have more common sense too as it has been confirmed that he, knowing how overbearing Joe is about his daughters, went to Papa Joe first and asked his permission to marry Ashlee. So maybe this marriage will have a better newlywed period than Jessica’s…OH! They should totally do a Newlywed reality show too!

Tennis pro, Andy Roddick, and swimsuit model, Brooklyn Decker are engaged!The couple have been dating for a year. They first met after Roddick, 25, asked his agent to track down a number for Decker, 20, a model who has appeared in Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.
“The couple wanted to tell their family and close friends first but good news travels fast,” said a note on Andy Roddick’s official site andyroddick.com.
“With their hectic travel schedules, Andy and Brooklyn plan to enjoy their engagement and will wait to set their wedding date.”
Mom-to-be, Jamie Lynn Spears, has apparently been sporting some really nice shiny jewelry that appears to be an engagement ring from boyfriend Casey Aldridge.
Spears, 16, has been flashing her new ring to all her friends and family in Louisianan and Mississippi, a source close to the family tells PEOPLE.
“She’s got an engagement ring,” the source says. “She’s been showing it off, talking about it.”
Spears and Aldridge are expecting their baby this summer. No official word yet on a wedding date for the couple.
I don’t know if I like the idea of Jamie Lynn getting married at such a young age. I think she needs to wait awhile before she jumps into any thing too quickly, again. I mean she could be a mom and a divorcee all before she’s 21. What do you think?
