Pete Wentz is known for making headlines. From his marriage to Ashlee Simpson to his “bromance” with John Mayer, he is no stranger to fame. OMG! What is Pete Wentz Wearing?!

Posted on 17 February 2010 by ksouthall

The “is he/isn’t he” bassist for Fall Out Boy, Pete Wentz, walked the Clandestine Industries fashion show runway at New York Fashion Week in this peculiar outfit:

Pete Wentz

A pretty accurate recreation of the famous scene from ‘Silence of the Lambs’ when Hannibal Lecter is brought out in the same mask and outfit strapped to a dolly.

Supportive wife Ashlee Simpson watched with smiles of pride from the front row at his show.

What message do you think Wentz is trying to convey with this ensemble?

If you’re actually interested, visit www.clandestineindustries.com for more on Pete’s clothing line… it’s actually not at all like what he’s portraying on the runway.

Sad But True! Fall Out Boy is Finito

Posted on 04 February 2010 by ksouthall

Fall Out Boy

It is officially over, Fall Out Boy is no more.  Two of the band members confirm what we all kinda knew, the band has gone on a “break”  Bassist Pete Wentz wrote in his blog

“As far as I know, Fall Out Boy is on break,” Wentz wrote. “I can’t predict that I’d ever play in Fall Out Boy again.”

He also took to his Twitter page saying;

“A hiatus is forever until you get lonely or old, [and] I don’t plan on either,” says Wentz. “Something would have to change in my head or my heart – not my wallet,” he added. “It’d have to be real.”

Also sounding off is Patrick Stump, who told Spin Magazine that he is “not in Fall Out Boy anymore.”

Fall Out Boy

While the two have publicly said they are no longer in FOB, that doesn’t mean that the band wont go on, or possibly have a reunion in the future “One way or another, the band will always be around,” Stump said. Wentz agreed: “There is the possibility that FOB will play again with or without me.”  The breaking news prompted some funny tweets, like from Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 “For the record: as of right now, I am also quitting Fall Out Boy.

Stump has already started working on a solo album and Wentz is looking forward to starting new projects, and possibly touring.  Wentz, who has a one year old with wife Ashlee Simpson, says that “I want to be back on tour having my son watch me from the side of the stage.”  Sounds good to me.

Are you guys sad for the end of Fall Out Boy, or do you think this is a temporary thing and they will be back together for a reunion tour?

Rocker Pete Wentz & his unemployed wife, Ashlee,  are selling their home because it isn’t kid-friendly.

Pete & Ashlee are in search of a new home that is suitable for their son, Bronx — preferably with a yard.

The couple put their Beverly Hills estate, which Ashlee purchased in January 2007, on the market recently.

A source told Life & Style magazine:

“The house is built into the side of a giant hill and it doesn’t really have any yard.  Now that Bronx is getting older they realized that really isn’t a child friendly house.”

Incase you’re interested, the home features four bedrooms, a gym, a gourmet kitchen, swimming pool and a two-story guesthouse.

John Mayer’s 2001 Mug Shot Cost Him $25,000

Posted on 28 August 2009 by Tammy Cakes

john-mayer-mug-shot

Yesterday John Mayer posted on his Twitter page a challenge saying that he would pay $25 grand to whom ever found his mug shot photo from his 2001 arrest for speeding and driving without a license in Georgia.

He hinted writing, “I was arrested for the same offense as Patrick Stump,” in reference to the Fall Out Boy singer who was arrested Tuesday on a two-year-old warrant for driving without a valid license.

So who won? Of course a TMZ.com editor. Those guys have all the resources.

TMZ wrote on their site:

“So The Smoking Gun put the mug up around 5 minutes before us. Before we had it in our hands, we put up a post saying we found the mug and the arrest in Atlanta … which we posted before they got the mug up. Bottom line — here’s what John said on Twitter: “if Harvey Levin at TMZ can produce my mugshot, I will donate 25k to the charity of his choice.”

“We found the mug … so pay up, John.”

Pete Wentz discloses that he has attempted suicide

Pete Wentz discloses that he has attempted suicide

Fall Out Boy (& Ashlee Simpson’s boyfriend), Pete Wentz, revealed recently that he has attempted suicide before. He said there was a time in his life, in the start of his career, where he was full of anxiety and depressed all the time. He felt isolated and tried to kill himself.

Wentz disclosed this very personal information during a video interview for MTV’s college channel MTVU.  Joining Wentz in revealing their darkest hours in order to help the Jed Foundation’s Half Of Us campaign, which is aimed at cutting student suicide rates, was Mary J. Blige and Billy Corgan (of the Smashing Pumpkins) . Their goal is to encourage students suffering from mental illness to seek professional help.

During his revealing interview, Wentz said:

“The darkest moment was when we had just finished recording out major label record and two days later we were going to go to Europe and I felt completely lost and out of control. At that point, I’d seen some doctors and they were Hollywood doctors so they gave me a cocktail (of prescription drugs); but, I was kind of the drugstore cowboy, so I took the cocktail the way I wanted to take it. I got in my car. I remember I was listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen’s (song) Hallelujah and sat there and took a bunch of (prescription drug) Adavan in a Best Buy (store) parking lot. And I called up my manager because I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Adavan. And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital. I came home and we realized that we needed to do more than just keep (my) head above water. It’s not really about keeping your head above water, it’s about feeling all right and feeling safe in your own skin. It’s not about keeping your head above water and barely keep going.”

Revealing something so personal takes a lot of courage and strength; plus  it’s great that he’s willing to tell his story so that it might prevent it from becoming someone else’s. I hope Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are doing well and that Papa Joe isn’t too hard on him.
