Perez Hilton Is Now Suing Black Eyed Peas Manager…

Posted on 24 June 2009 by Becky Wilhite

So that little fight between Perez Hilton and will.i.am is getting even uglier!

Hilton filed a civil law suit at a Los Angeles court today against Polo Molina.  Hilton is suing for battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress with unspecified damages of $25,000!

**—-For those of you who didn’t hear about this little fiasco I will break it down: —–**

Perez and will.i.am had an exchange of ugly words at a Toronto nightclub on Monday night in which it ended with Perez calling will.i.am “a faggot” not an artist.  Ouch!

But the show had only just begun.  In retaliation Polo Molina, will.i.am.’s manager, threw some punches at the back of Perez’s head, which later led to Molina’s arrest and Perez getting bitch-slapped by GLAAD for using such an anit-gay word!

According to Yahoo! News:

The suit states Hilton is seeking to protect his rights to free speech and claims Polo Molina attacked him because he made critical comments about the Black Eyed Peas’ new album.

Hmm….So Perez IS the suing type!  According to TMZ Molina is currently on probation from a 2006 DUI which could mean some jail time!

As soon as Hollywire gets more info we will pass it along!

GLAAD Demands Apology From Perez Hilton For Using Anti-Gay Slur Towards Will.i.am

Posted on 23 June 2009 by Tammy Cakes

GLAAD is super mad at Perez Hilton for his anti-gay slur towards BEP Will.i.am and they want him to issue a public apology for his absurd behavior.

Perez made headlines yesterday when he posted a video telling everyone how outraged he was at the BEP’s and their manager Polo. He said at one point he called Will.i.am a “f**king f*ggot” because he wanted to hurt his feelings like Will.i.am hurt his. Click here to see the video and read about the fight that went down.

GLAAD said,

“We have reached out to Hilton and asked him to apologize for promoting this anti-gay slur, and we would ask media outlets to avoid repetition of the slur in their coverage of this story. For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, ‘The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,’ is incredibly dangerous. It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community. And it sends a message that it is OK to attempt to dehumanize people by exploiting anti-gay attitudes.”

But instead of apologizing, Perez issued a statement that says how pissed he is that GLAAD is pissed and he wants an apology from them,

“I am saddened GLAAD chose to victimize me further by criticizing me for how I non-violently dealt with a very scary situation that, unfortunately, turned violent. While I doubt I will get an apology from GLAAD, nor do I expect one, I would just hope people know how difficult it is to intellectualize a situation and think rationally when a thug disguised as a musician is screaming at your face and intimidating you. I am just very fortunate and grateful that nothing more serious happened to me.”

Who’s side are you on? This is a tuffy. I see GLAAD’s side, Perez should not have used that kind of language, he knows better. But than again when you are being attacked and don’t want to resort to violence, you resort to words and that was the only thing he could think of that would make Will.i.am back down. So in that case I’m for Perez. The whole fight was ridiculous to me so in the end I’m for no one. This is totally high school girl drama, come on guys, play nice.

Nigel Lythgoe Tweets About GLAAD’s “Homophobic” Accusation

Posted on 22 May 2009 by Tammy Cakes

Nigel Lythogoe of So You Think You Can Dance is fighting back after coming under attack from GLAAD’s accusations that the judge is “homophobic.”

Last night, during the first season’s episode of SYTUCD, their were two male performers doing the Samba. A dance that we normally see a man and a woman perform together. The men were apart of a same sex dance program. Actually one of men Mitchel, is straight and Misha is gay. The judges along with the audience, I’m sure, were a little stunned to see these men dance together. I know I was.

The two contestants were not very good and fell pretty hard during one point in their routine. At the end for their critique Nigel said to the gentlemen:

“I think you probably alienate a lot of our audience,” he said after the duo’s samba. “I mean, we’ve always had the guys dance together on the show, but they’ve never really done it in each other’s arms before.

“Do you know what? I’d like to see you both dancing with a girl.”

Nigel continued his tirade online, saying, “The same-sex ballroom guys did remind me of Blades of Glory. However, I’m not a fan of Brokeback ballroom.”

This is were GLAAD’s frustration and anger escalated.

“It’s unacceptable for this kind of blatant homophobia to occur,” GLAAD President Neil G. Giuliano said in a statement. “Fox Entertainment and Nigel Lythgoe owe Misha, Mitchel and the whole LGBT community an apology.”

Nigel responded via Twitter: “I am very sad the word ‘homophobe’ is being used. That is someone who hates homosexuals. I dislike effeminate dancing! Wake up and listen!”

GLAAD is now asking the gay community and fans of the show to fire back by emailing and calling Fox to get Nigel to apologize for his comments.

What do you think about Nigel’s comment? Should he apologize?
