So I will publicly confess my undying devotion to the CW network.  I am, in fact, mildly obsessed with any show that features gossipy girls, couples making up and breaking up, and silly pop music.  Which is why I am incredibly excited for the premieres of Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, as well as the exciting debut of 90210.

First up… Gossip Girl, Monday, Sept. 1st, 8pm PT/EST.

This wealthy pack of Manhattan teens left us last spring with some mysterious cliffhangers.  Will Dan and Serena keep true to their word and stay away from each other all summer?  Will Serena jump into the arms of her ex-lover, Nate (as much of a “lover” you can have in high school)?  What about Dan and Vanessa?  Will Dan’s summer away from the “brat pack” cause him fall back into his past and crawl back to Vanessa?  Will Chuck stand up Blair and go back to his bad boy ways?  How is Blair going to take this rejection?  What about little Jenny, who has been grounded virtually forever?  I can’t wait to see how this plays out and find out about their summer in the Hamptons!  One thing is for sure, this show will, once again, definitely be my inspiration for fall shopping.

Next… One Tree Hill, Monday, Sept. 1st, 9pm PT/EST.

Talk about suspense.  I could honestly care less about the sappy Scott family, or odd couple Millicent and Marvin.  Who did Lucas call from the airport and ask to accompany him to a Vegas wedding chapel? Peyton, Brooke, or Lindsey?  My personal choice would be Peyton - after she wrote the words “I will always love you” on the gravel of his basketball court, my heart melted and the romantic in me took over and wanted him to get married to her right then and there.

And drumroll… 90210, Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, 9pm PT/EST.

I am actually nervous about this one.  The suspense I have been building ever since rumors started to fly about this show will hopefully my expectations.  Some say that this looks like just another OC, in which case I will be supremely disappointed.  I’m not sure that anyone live up to the Brandon/Brenda duo?  While growing up, I felt like I actually knew the cast of Beverly Hills 90210.  How can they ever be replaced?!

New York magazine thinks that the CW’s Gossip Girl is “The Best Show Ever,” and in this issue they give you a whole article as to why the show is genius.

As for me, I think the show is watchable, I mean if there is nothing else on. Definitley not a show that I’m just dying to watch every week. And it seems that I’m not the only one with this persepective because lately their promos for their new season, which starts tomorrow, have turned racy promoting sex to an older audience.  We’ll see if that works.

The two “it” girl’s of the CW’s Gossip Girl, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, are featured in the new issue of Nylon magazine.

Here are some of the highlights from the interview:

Leighton on playing her character on Gossip Girl: “Maybe I’ve known [Blair] somehow or I know her in myself and she needs somebody to portray her in a way that isn’t completely harsh because she could be so hated.”

Blake on how she almost turned down the show: “[I thought] if there are pet monkeys wearing coordinating outfits, that’s not something I’m going to want to be a part of…. ”

Leighton on Gossip Girl style: “Serena is more thrown together and effortless and doesn’t really care, and is just like, has this sexiness to her without trying, and Blair is really uptight and conservative and put together and everything has to be perfect, you know Chuck is kind of cocky and he’s just like, I don’t know, a prick.”

Blake on the weirdness of Internet Message boards: “Yeah, it’s kind of crazy but after the first Sisterhood trailer even came out, um, I guess it’s maybe I’m the only person with long blonde hair in Hollywood. I don’t know, but everyone was like, “Oh, she should be Serena.”

The CW is trying desperately to keep their new show, Gossip Girl alive. With the new season starting April 21, they have decided to shake things up a bit and have added a surprising twist to the already drama filled series.

Here are some clues to help predict the twist:

• The revelation significantly impacts the lives of at least three people.
• The aftershocks will be felt on both sides of the East River.
• Some viewers will be surprised by the twist, others not so much.
• In the Gossip Girl novels, Dan was known to be a bit of a switch hitter — which isn’t so much a clue as it is a fact. A misleading fact? Perhaps. Perhaps not.
