Mayumi Heene, the mother of  Falcon Heene, also known as “Balloon Boy,” has confessed to lying to authorities!  She admitted that the release of the 20-foot “UFO” looking Mylar balloon on Oct. 15th was “intentional as a hoax,” according to the Fort Collins Coloradoan.

Heene also admitted to officers that they had planned the hoax for WEEKS and that the construction of the balloon was created specifically for the launch, according to the source.

She also says that both she and husband Richard had instructed their three boys – Bradford, Ryo and Falcon – to lie to authorities!

Great parenting!

No word yet on the fate of the family or if Richard plans to confess.

The Balloon Boy story has officially been confirmed as a hoax.

According to reports the balloon incident was planned for about 2 weeks and was an attempt to land a reality TV show.  Sheriff Jeff Alderden made the announcement in a press conference, which can be seen below.

Child services has also been contacted and the Heene’s are facing a long list of possible charges that include, conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, false reporting to authorities, and attempting to influence a public servant.

It is unlikely that any of the children will be charged due to their age.

Last month someone thought it would be funny to report that Lil Wayne’s daughter died in a car accident and now this month it is Miley Cyrus who was in a car accident.  The story, allegedly from Reuters, said,

Teen star of the hit Disney television series ‘Hannah Montana’ Miley Cyrus appears to have died in a tragic car accident in the early hours of Friday morning.  The young starlet was on her way to the filming of the upcoming ‘Hannah Montana’ Series when her vehicle was reportedly hit by a large truck.  Witnesses estimate the colliding vehicle was traveling at ‘At least 55 mph’ and had ‘Run a stop sign.’  Although rushed in a critical condition to Pacific Alliance Medical Centre, the news broke quickly amongst reporters that the teen had succumbed to her injuries during surgery.

Well, I am pleased to tell you that Miley is alive and well….there was no car accident or death and personally I do not find these hoax funny.  How about you…do you think they are funny?
