Prince of Persia is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2010.

Are you going to see “Prince of Persia”?

Despite reports that Hollywood golden couple Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were getting married, the two have indeed ended their 2 year relationship amicably.  There was talk that they might be splitting up back in November, but the reps for Gyllenspoon denied the reports.  Turns out it was only a matter of time.

E! is reporting that

“They needed time to figure it out and they were on different coasts,” a source says. “When they were finally together, they talked it out and decided they’re not going to be together anymore.  “There are no other people involved,” the source said. “The relationship just ended. It just fizzled. But they also wanted to be careful and private about it because of Reese’s kids.”

There are rumors circulating that Reese ended it because the Brokeback Mountain star wanted to get married, and Reese just wasn’t ready.  It is hard to say if that holds any water, the two never opening spoke about their relationship to the media and were very private about the details.

I am sad to see this one end, they were such a cute couple!  Lets visit some of the better times, when they were still Gyllenspoon!

According to Pop Eater, Jake Gyllenhaal is going to pop the question to Reese Witherspoon!  They make a cute couple, don’t you think?

According to a source, Jake is planning to ask the Four Christmases star Reese to marry him over the Christmas holiday.  This comes not long after a rumor was going around that the cute couple were breaking up.  Jake feels that the time is right, says insider

“Her children love him, his family loves her and now it’s time to make it official,” the source says. “Reese is a traditional sort of lady, which is one of the many things Jake adores about her, and Christmas is her favorite holiday.”

Reese and Jake started dating back in 2007, but only just recently admitted to dating in a November 2008 interview with Vogue Magazine.

The internet was buzzing about Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal on Sunday. People.com reported that the couple had split; however, that might not be the case!

A source close to the couple dished about the split to People magazine, leading the publication to believe it was true.  BUT… soon after the story was posted, reps for both Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal DENIED the break-up!

The actor’s reps, Nanci Ryder and Carrie Byalick, released a statement saying:

“They are still together.”

When I first saw pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal from the set of Prince of Persia I immediately thought “this movie is going to be borrrrring!”

I can safely say that I was wrong about the fate of this film, it looks AWESOME! (and Jake looks mighty fine in it as well, especially when he speaks in that British accent!)

Reese Witherspoon is on the cover of InStyle Magazine and gets unusually candid, talking about both her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal as well as her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

On spending time with Jake:
“Jake is a great cook, he does a lot. We spend the weekends outside of LA, where I have a farmhouse. We have chickens & we grow cucumbers & tomatoes. It reminds me of where I grew up in Tennessee.”

On divorce:
“You reconsider certain things, but you just have to keep going, You have to keep it together for your kids and yourself too. I’m trying to learn from the things that have happened in my life, live more in the moment, and have more fun.

On her time off:
“I try to exercise every day. I like to run for about an hour, and I’m big into working out with girlfriends.”

JG: What’s your favorite food?

NP:Well, I don’t think you can really improve upon Carvel ice cream cake.

JG: I’m more Baskin-Robbins style myself.

NP: Oh really? I am so Carvel. Did I just bring us back to 1985 Long Island?

JG: What song best describes your current state?

NP: My current state . . . I’m trying to think of a song that feels like sleepwalking. [laughs] I don’t know. I’ve mostly been listening to dirty rap lately. That’s sort of my scene.

JG: Your affection for dirty rap is something that people really don’t know about you, which I think is fascinating. You do incredible things for the world, and then you listen to just completely obscene hip-hop music.

NP: Really, really obscene hip-hop. I love it so much. It makes me laugh and then it makes me want to dance. Those are like my two favorite things, so combined . . . I’ve been listening a lot lately to “Wait (The Whisper Song)” by the Ying Yang Twins, where the lyrics are like, “Wait ’til you see my d—”—which is just amazing because it’s whispered. [whispers] “Wait ’til you see my d— . . . ” [laughs] Crazy. So I just listen to it like I’m a five-year-old, like, “Oh my god! I can’t believe he just said that!”

JG: It’s interesting that you think the lyric “Wait ’til you see my d—” describes your current state. I think people are learning more about you right now then they ever have in an interview. I’m proud of that.
