Alba, who is 8 months pregnant with her first child, thought it would be nice to help the young mothers by providing them with some essential items needed to care for a baby.

At this stage in a pregnancy most women can only think of what they need for their baby, not the needs of other. Jessica Alba has shown that she is a genuinely caring person.

Jessica Alba is having a girl!

Posted on 03 April 2008 by tammy

Jessica Alba is having a girl!Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are having a girl and are naming her Honor Warren. Yeah, what is with celebs and their strange baby names. I can’t wait to see what becomes of these kids with these weird and obnoxious names. Apparently a friend of Alba’s went into a jewelry store in LA and had Honor spelled out on a charm bracelet. “This woman was so excited that Jessica is having a girl,” says the source. “She said she loved the name too, Honor, and said Jessica picked it because she felt it was an honor to have Cash’s baby. She said she couldn’t wait to give it to Jessica this weekend. She asked twice if the bracelet would be ready by then.” The guest wanted the bracelet ready for this weekend for Jessica’s baby shower, which is being thrown by her manager Chris Henze’s wife at a private home in LA on April 6.I hope that is really not the reason that Jessica picked out the name Honor. Way cheezy. What do you think of the name?

Justin Timberlake wants to be a porn star?

Justin Timberlake wants to be a porn star?

Who would have thought that Justin Timberlake would one day be a porn star? Unfortunatly, he is not one in real life, just a wannabe porn star in his new movie “The Love Guru.”

The pop singer sports a dodgy ‘tache, big hair, tiny speedos and little else as Jacques Grande in “The Love Guru.” Grande is a professional skater and aspiring porno actor who has stolen away the wife of a rival hockey player whose career has subsequently gone on the skids.

Austin Powers star Mike Myers plays an Indian guru who makes people fall in love and he attempts to break into the US self-help market by resolving this “triangle of lurve”.

Jessica Alba, Ben Kingsley and Jessica Simpson also star in this ridiculous comedy along with Verne Troyer, who played Mini Me in the Austin Powers series.

Jessica Alba on the cover of Latina magazine

Jessica Alba on the cover of Latina magazine

Jessica Alba is on March 2008 cover of Latina magazine. In the issue she gets personal with Editor-in-Chief Mimi Valdes Ryan and is photographed mimicking different actress in five famous scary movies.

Here is part of the interview in the new issue that hits newsstands today:

On her reluctance to walk the red carpet at Latin events: “I’ll support those shows, but I can’t go on the press lines and have people make me feel bad about myself. Life is too short. I can’t change how I grew up, and I shouldn’t have to apologize for it. I know I feel close to the Latin community, because that’s what I grew up with.”

On claims that she’s proud to have cut loose from her Mexican roots: “I never said that. Cut loose from what? What the hell are they talking about? Why would I want to cut loose from the only family I know?”

On not learning to speak Spanish as a child: “I wish to God that my dad spoke Spanish to my brother and me, but he didn’t grow up with it.”

On confusing other men for her dad as a kid: “When I was little, I used to go up to black men and hold their legs, thinking it was my dad all the time. I’d wrap my arms around them, then look up and be like, ‘Oh my God!’”

On being accepted for who she is in Hollywood:“I was always trying to figure out: How the hell am I going to be mainstream? How are people going to accept me? When are the going to get a clue that I am American, that this is what America looks like–people like me who are mixed, have different blood, mixed with different ethnicities? When are the people who are hiring for these jobs and writing these screenplays going to realize that?”

On what she wants her baby to look like: “I’m excited for my baby to be brown. I just have to believe the dark gene is going to survive. Cash and I are like, please!”

Jessica Alba on the March issue of Marie Claire

Jessica Alba on the March issue of Marie Claire

Jessica Alba is on the March 2008 issue of Marie Claire magazine.

In this issue she discusses how she was unpopular in school:

“When I was a little girl, I always wanted someone to look up to. I think identity was a big deal to me because I didn’t fit in with one certain race. I always wanted someone who looked like me, who was a positive role model.”

“I had a lot of haters. They’d unzip my backpack so my books would fall out. They’d tie my shoes together. They’d ‘accidentally’ spill lunches on me.”

Alba also talks about her involvement in the Step Up Women’s Network, a national women’s and girl’s empowerment organization, which she volunteers regularly for.

”I think these girls can relate to me, to the fact I didn’t have rich parents or any nepotism working in my favor.” Her father was in the military, moving the family from Mississippi to Texas before settling them in Laverne, CA. Alba is Mexican on her father’s side, and Danish and French on her mother’s. “I don’t fit in with one race,” she says.

And although Alba admits that her life is not exactly were she would like to be she knows her problems can’t begin to compare with those of the girls from low-income, high-density neighborhoods, the girls who sometimes have babies to cure their loneliness.

“They aren’t ready to be mothers,” Alba says. “There’s no more ‘you’ after having a kid, but they’re too young to understand that. They see the world in their 10-minute reality. They don’t see the big picture because you can’t have that kind of perspective when you’re that young.”

A week from now, Alba will announce her own pregnancy.

Alba discusses what she likes least about her job:

“There’s a lot of pressure on women to fulfill certain fantasies. They expect you to be a little bit of a tart, to flirt with all the men. A lot of women do it. But I’m not doing that. I talk with these guys about their wives and kids right away. When they say inappropriate things, I let them, because boys will be boys, but I’m not looking to participate in their conversations.”
