Meghan McCain, daughter of Senator John McCain (aka, that old guy who lost to our current president, Barack Obama in last November’s presidential election) has caused quite the controversy in the past 24 hours after she posted a picture of herself on Twitter, that most considered to be pretty racy.
As you can see, she doesn’t actually reveal anything in the picture, but her breasts are popping out of her tank top a little more than is socially acceptable.
Meghan has since apologized and taken the picture down, but you know once you put something out into the Twitterverse, you can’t ever really take that back!
She says:
“When I am alone in my apartment, I wear tank tops and sweat pants, I had no idea this makes me a ’slut’, I can’t even tell you how hurt I am,” Meghan McCain said.
“I do want to apologize to anyone that was offended by my twitpic, I have clearly made a huge mistake and am sorry 2 those that are offended.” Meghan McCain said.
What do you think of Meghan’s pic? Is it that scandalous or is everyone making a big deal out of nothing?
In late October, a few sources close to the couple revealed some pretty significant marital problems between the two, which had to do with Cindy McCain’s roaming eye (not that John is the perfect innocent husband himself).
E! Online had this to say:
Ms. M, I hear from sources other than just Camp O, lives to flirt, big-time, with the beach dudes when they’ve stayed at their Coronado, Calif., pad? So, let’s fast-forward this one, hypothetically, of course: say the McCains are elected. How long before that scandalous interview with some gorgeous beach bum runs in the tabs, complete with sexy confessions of piercing eyes and verbal exchanges between them and the first lady?
Today is a very historical day for all Americans…I hope you all partook or plan to partake (you have a few more hours here on the west coast!) in this monumental election.
Just think, some day you’ll be telling your kids or grandkids, ‘Yep, I helped vote in the first _________[fill in the blank with your own choice] of the United States of America.’
Either way the vote goes, I think today we should all be proud Americans. We’re making history here people! Get excited about that! See more pictures and get the low down on the candidates and the Clintons casting thier votes, by clicking here.
Seal and wife Heidi Klum join the likes of celebrities-for-Obama as they announce that they will be leaving the USA if McCain is elected into office next week.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Seal confirmed the statement, saying that it would not be a problem for them to move. He blamed Bush for the country’s failed economy, health system, and the undeniably unnecessary war in Iraq. Where exactly they would relocate to was not mentioned.
We’ll see if they stay true to their word. Or maybe we won’t have to find out …
Bristol Palin, the daughter of Sarah Palin, is pregnant. Sarah Palin, who was named John McCain’s running mate last week, issued a statement regarding her teenage daughter pregnancy to rebut lies that her son Trig is actually her grandson. Sarah Palin said,
We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our hearts and mean everything to us. Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support. Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media, respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates.”
That had to be heartbreaking news to the McCain staff. I wonder if he knew about the pregnancy before he chose Palin as a running mate. Do you think this is going to affect his campaign?
Kathy Hilton has written a blog on the Huffington Post in response to the use of her Daughter, Paris Hilton, in an ad campaign for John McCain.
Kathy wrote, “I’ve been asked again and again for my response to the now infamous McCain celebrity ad. I actually have three responses. It is a complete waste of money John McCain’s contributors have donated to his campaign. It is a complete waste of the country’s time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next president of the United States.”
I don’t understand all the negativity towards this ad. Is it because he chose two of the most unstable celebrities as examples? Would the reaction have been different had he shown Angelina Jolie or Bono instead? I like the ad and I do not feel that my time and attention have been wasted. Unlike my tax dollars that were wasted on Paris Hilton’s jail time.
What do you think – did this ad help or hurt McCain’s campaign?
