Hollywire attended the Blive Couture Fashion Show at club Area in Hollywood on July 31st. The designer and host of the show was LA native and ‘Friendly Neighborhood VJ’ Michael Benz, along with celebrity co-host Johnny V from VH1’s Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant. Sponsors included Giovanni Promotions Group, MaximoTV, Efren Beltran Photography, BSwim.com, GothamPress.com, ShutterShadesOnline.com, Skunkfunk.com and Sherman Oaks Paul Mitchell Salon.

Michael Benz is definitely a talent to watch. His style has got a unique edge, but not edgy in the “leatha” with metal studs biker chick kind of way. You know what I’m talking about…

Anyway, this show focused on women’s swimwear (So cute, I was tempted to steal a suit or two from the dressing room) and men’s beachwear, but his signature pieces are hats, t-shirts, hoodies and vests
